We're located in a good area for growing great fruit ... The R J Cornish & Co orchard is located near Cobram township on the Murray River in northern Victoria. We have good soils combined with a temperate climate and reliable water supply which suits the crops we produce. The main fruit harvest peiod when we pick peaches, pears and apples (mid January to early April) in this part of Australia is usually fairly warm to hot with temperatures generally in the 30°s... R J Cornish & Co Pty Ltd is a family owned company who have been producing fruit in the Cobram district for over 60 years... We have a steady, reliable, local workforce who assist us achieve our goals. At busy times of the year additional labour is required and much of this additional labour is provided by the use of labour contractors. As a result of using labour contractors to assist in peak periods we do not have many fruit picking jobs available.
