Dana Del Bonis was an English teacher in Warwick before marrying Tom Del Bonis. When she had children, she decided to become a stay-at-home mom and started reading cookbooks to pass the time. Her passion for baking grew with every new recipe she tried… so much that in 1986 she decided to open a business on Frenchtown Rd in East Greenwich. The next year, she and Tom opened Scrumptions at 5600 Post Rd. After Anna graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 1996, she joined Scrumptions as a Pastry Chef Assistant. The next year, she became the pastry chef. She and her husband, Moses, purchased Scrumptions from Dana and Tommy in 2006 and have been building on the foundation ever since.
