Amie Kennedy

Amie Kennedy, PA-C (Physician Assistant-Certified), graduated with a Bachelor in Environmental Population Organismic Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1998. During college, she worked as an Emergency Medical Technician and volunteered for the American Red Cross. After college, Amie worked in Pathology; starting in Cytology and working hard to gain the skills and experience to become a lead Histotechnologist, with a specialty in cancer research. During this time she studied for her Masters of Integrated Sciences from the University of Colorado in Denver, which was awarded in 2008. Seeking to continue her career in medicine Amie completed her Physician Assistant Program in 2012, through the Red Rocks Community College, whilst volunteering as a 9-Health Coordinator. Amie began practicing medicine with a focus on family medicine and urgent care. During this time she felt compelled to learn more about an integrated approach to healthcare, which would better meet the needs of her patients. In 2014, Amie joined Dr. Shawn and Dr. Lyndsay Naylor at the Sound Clinic where she became immersed in treating chronic illness, caused by pathogens and biotoxins. During this time she gained continuing medical education in areas including family medicine, Autonomic Response Testing, Neuraltherapy, Methylation and Genetics and Natural Therapies. In 2017, Amie and her family moved to Australia where she has been advocating for Physician Assistants in Australia, helping chronic pathogen patients and working toward her Masters in Chinese Herbal

Ara Haupt

Ara was born in small-town Minnesota and later lived abroad with her family in Tanzania where she graduated from high school. Growing up in Africa during the height of the HIV pandemic led her to pursue a career in medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree in international studies and premedical sciences at Pepperdine University and went on to earn a master's degree in Physician Assistant studies at the University of Colorado in 2011. After completing PA school, she practiced at an integrated pediatric practice in Denver for 7 years and later practiced more extensive pediatric integrated medicine at Mindful Pediatrics in Boulder for the 3 years prior to joining The Sound Clinic.

Dr. Josh Krembs

Josh Krembs, DO earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Southern Maine, and became Board-Certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (AOBNMM) after completing residency training at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York City. He has been trained, through more than 15 years of extensive mentorship and coursework, in the subtle yet powerful Biodynamic approach to Osteopathic diagnosis and treatment, which allows for the precise correction of dysfunction in any body part or system with the most gentle technique. Areas Of Expertise Dr. Krembs supports his patients' healing processes through hands-on Osteopathic Manual Treatment (OMT) and an extensive knowledge of nutritional biochemistry, micronutrient supplementation, and the use of powerful natural remedies. He is passionate about giving his patients tools to improve their self-care including postural, movement, and mindfulness/ meditation practices as well as some useful insights from the basic principles of Ayurveda.

Dr. Lyndsay Naylor

Lyndsay Naylor, DO was born Lyndsay Hoemberg in central Minnesota. As an undergraduate at The College of St Benedict's/St John's University, she studied both theology and biology. While studying abroad in South Africa, she volunteered at an HIV/AIDS clinic. This sparked her interest in social justice and prompted her to serve with the Passionist Volunteers in Jamaica for two years following her undergraduate work. It was here that healthcare experiences illuminated her path to a career in medicine. Attracted to the holistic mentality of osteopathy and its renowned manual therapy training program, she attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, she was accepted into the Poudre Valley Family Medicine program where she finished her internship. Dr. Lyndsay went on to complete her family medicine training in Denver at the Rose Family Medicine Program and is now a practicing Board Certified Family Medicine physician. In 2013, she was nominated for the Larry Green Family Medicine Award for her dedication to patient safety, leadership, enthusiasm for holistic care, and commitment to family medicine. She continues to pursue traditional medical education in accordance with the American Osteopathic Association family medicine board certification requirements. Dr. Lyndsay is also involved in leadership. She is medical director of the Sound Clinic. Dr. Lyndsay guides the team of staff and practitioners through ongoing development and growth.

Dr. Shawn Naylor

Shawn Naylor, DO completed his undergraduate training in human physiology in 2001 at McGill University in Montreal. He earned his medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine California in 2005. This was followed by a traditional rotating internship and residency training in Family Medicine at St Anthony Hospital in Denver, CO. He has completed more than seven hundred hours of continuing education training, mainly in Osteopathic Manipulation, Functional Medicine, Prolotherapy, Neuraltherapy, Ozonotherapy and Autonomic Response Testing. Additionally, Dr Naylor has been an instructor in prolotherapy, and is a member of the American Academy of Ozonotherapy, The International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society and the American Osteopathic Association. He is a clinical preceptor for Rocky Vista College of Osteopathic Medicine and a is affiliated with Rose Medical Center.

Jaime Thwaytes

Jaime Thwaytes received her BSN degree from Florida State University in 2007. She worked as a registered nurse in Florida, California and New York. Jaime cared for critically ill patients on cardiac, surgical and cardio-thoracic surgical units. During her time as a nurse, she realized the importance of having balance of the mind and body. She started studying yoga and became a yoga instructor in 2015. From there, both her nursing background and yoga experience became the foundation that launched her into family medicine as a nurse practitioner. She studied at Regis University and received her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2021. She worked with various practitioners and specialists and found her passion in integrative medicine. She studied with both Sarah Tyler, NP and Lyndsay Naylor, DO at the Sound Clinic. Upon graduating, she joined the Sound Clinic team as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Sarah Tyler

Originally from small town Mississippi, Sarah Tyler received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Alabama in Birmingham. She worked six years in the University Hospital's Heart and Lung Transplant ICU in Birmingham before deciding to go back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner. Sarah then attended Vanderbilt University where she obtained a Masters of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Family Practice in 2012. She is an American Academy of Nurse Practitioners certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Nursing was initially satisfying to Sarah because of its foundation in holistic healing theories that recognize the importance of considering the whole individual. The theories convey the interconnectedness of the individual's physical, psychological, environmental, spiritual contributions to one's overall health. During completion of her graduate study clinical rotations, Sarah felt inspired when she observed this holistic approach to health utilized within integrative medicine practices in both Tennessee and Colorado. It was during these experiences that she understood that the integrative practice model aligned with her core nursing philosophy and health perspective. At Vanderbilt, Sarah's professional development project and quality improvement project focused on lifestyle modification and behavior change. She also researched patient empowerment through patient-provider partnerships, autonomous decision-making, education, access to care, and motivational interviewing. Appreciating the beautiful landscape and active lifestyle, Sarah fell in love with Colorado while visiting family in 2006 and made her mind up to one day make Colorado her home. After graduation but prior to joining the Sound Clinic, Sarah lived in Telluride, Colorado while working in a rural primary care clinic in nearby Ridgway. She looks forward to expanding her practice within a setting that balances conventional and alternative methods to optimize health and well-being.

Sheri Fox

Sheri Fox PA-C is a Colorado native and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology and a minor in Biochemistry, from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1993. While attending college, she worked as a certified nursing assistant caring for people with disabilities on the telemetry and coronary care units of St Anthony's Hospital and volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician. Certain she had found her life's work in medicine, she went on to Emory University in Atlanta Georgia to graduate with highest honors from the School of Medicine's Physician Assistant Program, earning a Masters in Medical Science. She began her medical practice in rural Northern Michigan at a community health center which gave her a broad background in Family Practice. She also developed an unshakable awareness of the limitations of conventional medicine in healing chronic disease. As she worked with complicated patients struggling with significant financial and life stressors, she sought ways to identify and treat the root cause of illness which led her to the study of Functional Medicine. In 2009, she began her studies with The Institute for Functional Medicine and was in the first group of practitioners to attain certification in 2013. Sheri has also studied bio-identical hormone replacement with Neal Rouzier, MD of World Link Medical, is a certified BioTE practitioner and has continued to expand her functional medicine education by studying with Ben Lynch, ND and completing the Kalish Institute Mentorship program in 2015. Seeking to address healing, not just of the physical body, but also of the mind and spirit, she has completed training programs in yoga, Reiki and most recently, Shamanic energy work with The Four Winds Society and Alberto Villoldo, PhD. Certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants, she holds licenses in both Colorado and Michigan.
