Dr Nicholas Little trained in Sydney at Royal North Shore Hospital, Westmead Hospital, St Vincent's Hospital, and Camperdown Children's Hospital. He did a post-graduate clinical and research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in the USA. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is currently a clinical senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney.
