Following the pandemic in 2020, Truro began a search for its next rector, and called the Rev. Jamie Brown in August 2022. A year later, in August 2023, Truro launched its first church plant in over 20 years, Trinity Church in Burke. Building on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ, we're moving forward in commitment to our core pillars of the Word, worship, community, and outreach, as we ask God to restore and rebuild his church, and raise up the next generation of the church to walk in faithfulness to him. Truro stands ready to step into a new chapter of ministry in the years ahead, celebrating and proclaiming the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ... The core, essential, and absolute foundation of this church is Jesus Christ. He is our cornerstone. As the old hymn puts it: "The Church's one foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord". We believe that Jesus holds all things together. We stand securely as a church on Christ, and on Christ alone.
