Established in 1995 on the southwest side of Chicago by community members, organizers, academics, and civic leaders, the AAAN is the only Arab organization in Chicago that combines social services with organizing and advocacy to promote social change... Our vision is for a strong Arab American community whose members have the power to make decisions about actions and policies that affect their lives and have access to a range of social, political, cultural and economic opportunities in a context of equity and social justice... Arab and other Andrew High School students protest racism and white supremacy on campus. We at the AAAN unequivocally support the leadership of brave Arab, Black, and other youth as they take on the dangers of racism and white supremacy in their schools and communities.
