Mrs. McDonald has been an Associate Principal at Bloomfield Hills High School since 2019.
Mrs. McDonald has a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Toledo, Master of Arts Degree in teaching from Marygrove College, and Administrator Certificate from Concordia University.
Mrs. McDonald spent 7 years as a middle school language arts and social studies teacher at East Middle School, one of the top-performing schools in the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools district. Following that, Mrs. McDonald spent 4 years serving as an Assistant Principal at Monroe High School in the Monroe Public Schools District.
While at East Middle School, Mrs. McDonald was head of the English Language Arts Department, served on the district's recent Facility and Boundary Study Steering Committee as the school's representative, a leader in the professional learning communities, and served on the Diversity Council.
While at Monroe High School, Mrs. McDonald served as a Student Activities Director, Assessment Coordinator, and lead on the ELA, Music, and Art departments. Mrs. McDonald also served as a leader on the task team for school improvement and district improvement. Working with students and staff to develop and uphold best practices in instruction and assessment is one of Mrs. McDonald's most proud accomplishments.
Mrs. McDonald also has teaching experience at Harper Woods Secondary School and student taught at several Toledo- and Sylvania, Ohio-area schools. Mrs. McDonald has made several presentations at national conferences of various groups holding an active membership within the groups.

My name is Dr. Hartley, and it is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the principal of Bloomfield Hills High School. Over my twenty-one years in public education, I have had the honor of serving students, staff, and community members with a focus on building relationships, meeting the needs of all students, and being a leader that listens, is inclusive, and collaborates to move buildings and districts forward around a shared vision for student success.
As the husband of a teacher and the father of two elementary aged students, I understand the importance of creating a school environment that is supportive of all stakeholders. As a former high school teacher, elementary and middle school principal, and district director for curriculum and instruction, I have a wide range of experiences improving upon the educational environments and student achievement within the Goodrich, Dearborn, Fraser, and Grosse Pointe Public Schools communities. I am committed to getting to know the diverse needs of our student body and supporting you in achieving your academic, social, and individual needs. Mrs. Lupone has been an Associate Principal at Bloomfield Hills High School since 2019.
Mrs. Lupone holds a Bachelor's degree in chemistry and education from Michigan State University, a Master's degree in Curriculum Instruction and Leadership, a Master's degree in chemistry, and an Administrator Certificate from Oakland University. Mrs. Lupone has spent 19 years as a chemistry and student leadership teacher at Lahser High School and BHHS.
Mrs. Lupone was an integral part of the planning, development and implementation of the current high school design and programming, the implementation of the Learning Communities, and is the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Coordinator.
Mrs. Lupone is committed to providing a safe, caring environment that is conducive to learning for all students. Mrs. Lupone is passionate about student centered teaching and learning and supporting teachers with instructional practices that will enable students to continuously grow and achieve.

Keith McDonald is currently serving as the Bloomfield Hills Schools Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources where he oversees the following: human resources, operations and maintenance, enrollment services, communications, safety and security, and Bowers School Farm and Johnson Nature Center.
Keith McDonald has degrees from Wayne State University (Educational Specialist in General Administration and Supervision), Marygrove College (Masters in the Art of Teaching), and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (Bachelor of Science with majors in General Science and Physical Education).
Prior to joining BHS, he served in Livonia Public Schools for 20 years as a science and physical education teacher, an assistant principal, a principal, and as director of human resources. He has also been an adjunct professor at Madonna University, teaching courses on educational leadership.
Krista is proud to have spent her twenty years in education at Bloomfield Hills Schools and was recognized as Bloomfield Hills High School Teacher of the Year in 2023 and MASC/MAHS Student Leadership Advisor of the Year in 2020.
Krista holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership degree as well as a K-12 administrator certificate through MASSP.

The first interviews on April 16 and 17 will begin at 6 p.m. The second interview will begin approximately 10 minutes after the completion of the first interview. The interview on April 18 will begin at 7pm. 90 minutes will be allotted for each interview.
On Friday, April 19, 2024, the Board of Education will hold a Special Meeting at 5:30 p.m. at Booth Center to determine which candidates will be invited to participate in second round interviews.
All meetings/interviews are open to the public and will be livestreamed and recorded for later viewing. Those present at the interviews and watching via livestream/recordings will be provided an opportunity to share feedback to the Board for their consideration. Feedback forms will be published on the meeting agendas, as well as on the Superintendent Search webpage.
