Alisha grew up in Buchanan, Michigan and absolutely loves gardening. She even shares some of her veggies with the staff throughout the summer. If we're lucky, she utilizes her garden of veggies and herbs to make homemade pickles, yum! Avoiding her fear of deep water and seaweed, in her off time, Alisha can be found on solid ground enjoying nature.
New to Byce and new to Kalamazoo, Andrew is a recent graduate of Wayne State University. When home in Portage, he can be found with friends at Jac's for a drink, watching football during the season, or at Climb Kalamazoo!
Bob has over 30 years' experience, with 23 of those at Byce & Associates, Inc. When not in the office, Bob, a self-described night owl, enjoys woodwork, metal work (where he is surrounded with his favorite color, Chrome), and working on various home improvement projects and renovations.

Born and raised in the "big town" of Climax, Michigan, Brenda expresses that her biggest accomplishment is her family, consisting of her husband, 6 kids, 6 grandkids, and their fur baby Molly. She enjoys cooking when she has time and loves that Kalamazoo has a lot of great food and beverage choices. Her biggest motivator is starting each day by choosing to be HAPPY. It's all about the attitude!
Brenna grew up in Clarkston, Michigan before moving to Kalamazoo to attend Western Michigan University. If she's not at home with her cat, Mia, you can find her at the barn with her horse, Wynn. Brenna enjoys spending her summer weekends in South Haven with her family or anywhere in the outdoors.
As a highly qualified administrator, Brenda Longman has experience in various aspects of a multi-discipline engineering and architectural office. She has brought her educational background, her knowledge of accounting systems, human resources, marketing, information technology and a refreshing managerial approach to Byce & Associates, Inc. Let her direct you to the appropriate person to help you with your next project.
Brett served as our BIM Manager here at Byce & Associates, Inc. and while his time with us was short, he left an indelible place in our hearts. Brett was a man of strong faith, who loved his family with everything he had and always approached life with an open heart and open mind. We are truly the blessed ones for having him as a member of the Byce Family. We will continue to honor his memory and keep his spirit alive as he dances above us. He will surely be missed!

Bryan, happily married with two awesome kids, grew up building tree houses and tinkering with go carts in the hills between Scotts and Galesburg. He considers one of his fondest memories to be taking a year of nights and weekends to build his house with his dad and brother. Bryan loves tennis, skiing, guitars, and water sports at family property on Christie Lake.
Married with 2 step-sons, Cal was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and raised in Chelsea, Michigan. When home in Kalamazoo, Cal can be found working on home renovations and tending his vegetable garden. When watching sports are in order, Cal will be cheering on his favorite sports team, the Michigan Tech Huskies!

Carissa grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and enjoys camping in Holland State Park with her family. She LOVES tacos, the more authentic the better! When not at work or studying at Western Michigan University, you can find Carissa sipping wine and singing karaoke with her roommates!
When Carly isn't at work or making sure her husband and 2 children are fed, she enjoys having Happy Hour with her best friend, her dog Snax. She can usually be found with her nose in a book or making wise cracks at the local watering hole. Carly slogs through life as a Lions fan and is happiest on her couch watching them blow it with 2 minutes left in the game.

Born in Garrett, Indiana, Chuck enjoys traveling and exploring historic sites with his wife. His favorite vacation spot is heading to his wife's homeland of the Philippines and visiting Corregidor Island. When vacationing in Michigan, Chuck can be seen in the Upper Peninsula or in South Haven. When not traveling the world, he can be found relaxing at home watching the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Chris was born and raised in Hastings, Michigan, spending a few years in California before returning to Kalamazoo. Chris and his long-term girlfriend have two adorable orange cats and enjoy spending their time at their favorite local spots; Bell's Brewery and Two Fellas. A few of his hobbies include board/card games with his friends and all things horror!
Native to the U.P. and a Michigan Tech graduate, Danielle's favorite vacation destination is the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. She is married with two beautiful daughters and enjoys gardening, fishing, and spending time in the great outdoors.
Born and raised in Paw Paw, Michigan, Glenn grew up working on the family farm he now owns and operates. Today, Glenn is happily married with 3 young kids. When not working on his farm or designing HVAC systems, he can be seen on the open roads riding his Honda Magna motorcycle.
Hayward was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana and grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He is happily married with 2 daughters and proudly represents his role as #GirlDad. Driven for success, Hayward finds strong motivation and a determination to do great things top-of-mind, in order to prove his doubters and the naysayers wrong. On any given Sunday, Hayward can be seen sharing his rapping talent with his Church and has even released an Album.

Hilary and her two kids love spending their time in various athletic activities - softball, hockey, football, soccer, dance - you name it! She loves working as a team towards a common goal and is most motivated when feeling that accomplishment. She'd love to own land someday- she's most comfortable outdoors in nature, no matter the season.
With 40 years of experience, Jim serves as our fearless leader, President and CEO of Byce & Associates, Inc. Jim was born in Detroit, Michigan, educated in Houghton, Michigan, and settled down in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he is married with 6 kids, 6 grandkids and a dog named Molly. Some of his favorite vacation spots are Mexico, Florida and Michigan's Lakeshore.

Keith grew up in Commerce Township, Michigan and married his wife Erica in the summer of 2020. He and Erica have two adorable Golden Retriever puppies named Louie and Gus. His favorite Michigan vacation spot is the cabin/lake in Hillman. Along with the rest of the Electrical Department, his favorite food is tacos.

Maghan grew up in Mancelona, Michigan and is now married with a cat named Obi-Wan Kenobi (Obi for short). Outside of work, she enjoys doing anything crafty including knitting, crocheting, sewing, and piecing together computers. She has recently discovered a passion for traveling both locally and nationally. When not working, Maghan can be seen near the lake, any lake, all the lakes!
Currently a student at Western Michigan University, Matt can be found most comfortable drinking coffee from his grandmother's old mug while listening to birds chirp on a crisp morning. His favorite Michigan spot is anywhere North of Cadillac and dreams of a life in Northern Europe.
Matt was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Currently, Matt works remotely in Colorado Springs, Colorado. When not working, he enjoys traveling around the country to see friends and family. His favorite vacation spots are any ski resort, national parks, Colorado, California and Traverse City, Michigan. Matt is very active in the music scene, attending festivals and concerts (especially at Red Rocks Amphitheater) often.
Running is a passion of Matt's! His biggest accomplishment being the completion of the Chicago Marathon. He also enjoys running Half Marathons and is currently working on completing the 50 in 50 by 50 challenge. Matt can be seen representing the Kalamazoo Marathon and Borgess Run for the Health of It. Aside from running, he enjoys a relaxing river float in a canoe or tube on a nice sunny day.
Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Matt is happily married as of the summer of 2021! In the summer, you can find Matt on a boat at his favorite local spot, Gull Lake. One of his biggest accomplishments was becoming pro in Motocross. Along with the rest of the Electrical Department, his favorite food is tacos, with Mexican on the menu at least three times a week.
Matthew Norko serves as the Marketing Manager for Byce & Associates, Inc. He has 12 years' experience marketing professional AE services and maintains an understanding of what is important to the client and how Byce & Associates, Inc. can assist. Matt works to differentiate Byce from other firms and works at capitalizing on the strengths of our team to create awareness of what we can do for you. Mike has successfully married up and has 2 OK kids and 2 great dogs. A Yooper by birth, Mike was then raised in a tail of two cities: Traverse City and Battle Creek. He enjoys vacationing anywhere that doesn't have internet access and more specifically, anywhere on big water. Mikes favorite sport is soccer and you can find him cheering on his favorite team, the Tottenham Hot Spurs.
Miranda returned home to Byce & Associates, Inc. in 2014 and has 1 amazingly adorable, smiley, melt your heart son and a 9-year-old yellow lab. Her favorite work-related thing is that she gets to work with her friends, be herself, and laugh a lot more than most people do at work. Miranda's favorite Michigan vacation spot is at her family cabin in the Upper Peninsula.

Nathan grew up on the East side of the state in the small town of Holly, Michigan. He enjoys working on cars and traveling to destinations he has never been before. In the warmer months, you can find Nathan out enjoying the water, with his favorite Michigan spot being Houghton Lake!
Peter was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. A hometown graduate from Western Michigan University, Peter designed an iPhone App that helps fellow Structural Engineers with beam calculations. His favorite food is poached eggs, his favorite color is blue, and his favorite sports team is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Peter grew up in Brooklyn, New York and now lives in Kalamazoo with his wife, 2 daughters, 2 cats, and 2 Boston Terriers. Outside of the office, Peter enjoys furniture restoration, boat building, and home remodeling projects. His favorite sports are ice yachting and soft water sailing. He is even a member of the Gull Lake Ice Yacht Club!
Salma attended the University of Detroit Mercy before returning home to Kalamazoo. Outside of the office, you can find her with her friends and family, enjoying the outdoors, at concerts, dancing, and going to the gym! Fun fact, Salma's first language is Spanish!
Shelby was born and raised in Kalamazoo and has a passion for creating spaces that better the community. When not in the office, she enjoys soaking up the sun, getting active, and can be found at her favorite hip hound hangout (the dog park) with her dog, Breslin!
Married to her High School Sweetheart and Mom to one son and one bun-son, Shelby lives in a house where everything gets a test nibble. HA! Born and raised in Three Rivers, Michigan, you can find her relishing in getting her hands dirty, from renovating two homes, dabbling in woodworking and furniture building or finding her inner gearhead with a love of all things fast, including drag racing. When not at work you can find Shelby maintaining her classic car, hiding out at her extended family's house outside of Traverse City, or taking in the accomplishments of her impact on the built environment.
Stan grew up in Fennville, Michigan and enjoys sculpting, collecting/restoring park spring animals, and collecting movie props. The sculptures he has created have been in the Grand Rapids ArtPrize Competition and even Ripley's Believe It or Not Museums world-wide! A dream of his is to design and build his own unique house. He recently purchased dramatic land, having designed this unique house, he will soon start construction.

Steven is a man of few words, but when the words come out, no one is disappointed. He currently resides in Marshall, Michigan where he is married, with 3 children. When Steven is not working, you can find him trapping racoons, raising chickens, or hunting that next deer so our office can get another batch of Jerky and Summer Sausage.
Trevor is happily married with 2 daughters. When not working, Trevor enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, camping, and basically any activity where he is hanging out with his family. He loves watching and playing sports, with his favorite sports being basketball, football, and action sports. Additionally, Trevor loves any opportunity to watch his favorite team, the Michigan Wolverines. Go Blue!
