Adilson González Morales is a Communications Strategist for Conservation Law Foundation. In this role, he helps CLF leverage the power of communications to fight for a healthy and thriving New England for all. Adilson is committed to supporting CLF's work through his advocacy efforts for environmental justice.
Before joining the CLF team, Adilson worked at Penn State University, designing and implementing senior-level courses on International Mass Communications. Previously, he worked with Her Justice, where he assisted attorneys advocating on behalf of clients seeking relief in the areas of immigration, family law, and domestic violence.
Adilson holds a master's degree in Media Studies from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor's degree with a dual major in Rhetoric/Communication Arts, and Multi-Language from St. Lawrence University.

Alex St. Pierre is a Staff Attorney on the Strategic Litigation team. Prior to joining CLF, Alex was an Equal Justice Works Fellow and Staff Attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, representing teens aging out of foster care and parents of children with disabilities. She then served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marcia G. Cooke of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and later to the Honorable James E. Graves, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.
Alex earned a B.A., summa cum laude, from Sonoma State University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. In her spare time, Alex enjoys running long distances (especially on trails), baking, and spending time with her family.

Ali Hiple is a Policy Analyst working with CLF's Healthy & Resilient Communities and Environmental Justice programs. In this role she advances the organization's work on climate change resilience, transportation, and environmental justice. Before joining CLF Ali worked for the City of Medford's Office of Planning, Development, and Sustainability. Prior to that, she spent four years at the Trust for Public Land where she worked as an urban park researcher and consultant, providing support for city park systems around the country.

Allison Lorenc is a Senior Policy Analyst for the Ocean Conservation Program. In this role she monitors developing regulations related to fisheries management, habitat protection, and other ocean program campaigns. She also conducts outreach to and educates ocean stakeholders on CLF's ocean conservation initiatives. Allison began working at CLF in 2014 as the Ocean Conservation Program Assistant. She received her B.A. in Marine Science from Boston University.

Ameya Gehi is an Associate Attorney based in the Boston office, where she works in the Climate Accountability Initiative and Clean Air & Water programs. She began as a Charlotte E. Ray Fellow. Ameya received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 2021. She received her B.A., with Highest Distinction, in Environmental Studies and Spanish also from the University of Michigan in 2018. In law school, she was an Executive Editor of the Michigan Journal of Environmental and Administrative Law and a student attorney in the Human Trafficking Clinic. In her free time, Ameya enjoys hiking, yoga, and flower journaling.

Annika Hellweg is a paralegal supporting the Ocean Conservation and Clean Energy and Climate Change teams. She is a Minnesota native and graduated from Gordon College with a B.A. in Political Science. After a semester studying climate change law in the Netherlands, Annika wrote an honors thesis analyzing and comparing the history and potential of climate change litigation in the United States and the Netherlands.
Annika most recently worked in the US House of Representatives and has interned in both chambers of Congress. In her free time, Annika enjoys biking, cooking, and exploring all that Boston has to offer.

Ben Neumann is the Office Manager for the Massachusetts office. Before joining CLF, Ben worked for the GLBTA Pride Center at Bridgewater State University and for The Trustees. He attended Lawrence University and Columbia College.
Ben grew up in Chicago and has lived in Massachusetts for thirty years. He is an avid reader and a fan of old movies. A strong supporter of public libraries, Ben has held several positions on the board of The Friends of the Ames Free Library, including a five-year stint as president.

Caitlin Peale Sloan is CLF's Vice President for Massachusetts. Caitlin's portfolio of advocacy work is primarily housed in CLF's Clean Energy & Climate Change Program, where she advocates for an equitable transition of the fossil gas system under the Reduce Energy Demand team and leads the Advance Clean Power team in advocating for renewable energy and long term climate policy. Caitlin is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and holds a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and a B.A. in Government from Colby College.

Carol Gregory is the Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing for CLF. In this role Carol develops and oversees external communication and marketing initiatives including media relations, online engagement, and development communications.
Carol has more than 20 years of strategic communications, marketing, and broadcast journalism experience. Following a career in television, where she produced and wrote national and syndicated television specials and documentaries, she turned her attention to elevating the message of advocacy organizations. She has held leadership roles at a wide range of nonprofits including Greenpeace, YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, and Amnesty International USA.
Carol served on the Board of Directors for the Audubon Naturalist Society from 2009 through 2012, the oldest independent environmental organization in the Metropolitan Washington area that connects conservation activities with environmental education.
Carol is a native of North Carolina who relocated to the New England region from Washington, D.C. She enjoys hiking, great culinary experiences, and traveling to film festivals. She is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Chase Whiting is a Staff Attorney on the Clean Energy and Climate Change Team. In this role, he engages in strategic litigation and advocacy with the goal to mitigate the causes of climate change and help New England transition to clean energy and transportation.
Prior to joining CLF, Chase litigated plaintiff-side matters at the trial and appellate levels and served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Chase was a Law Clerk in the Executive Office of the President during the Barack Obama Administration and a research assistant to Professor Paul D. Butler. Chase worked fulltime during law school, first as an advocate for international human rights and later as Georgetown University's Senior Analyst of Strategic Initiatives. He also taught Earth science at a public middle school on the México-U.S. border. Chase graduated magna cum laude from the University of Vermont and the Georgetown University Law Center.
In his free time, Chase volunteers to restore, reconnect, and rewild northern New England and New York ecosystems and habitats. He also spends as much time as possible exploring those wild places.

Chelsea Kendall is a Staff Attorney based in CLF's Boston office. Chelsea works in the Clean Air and Water Program on litigation to protect our lakes and rivers from blue-green algae and our air from diesel exhaust. Before assuming the role of Staff Attorney, Chelsea was a Legal Fellow at CLF funded by a University of Chicago Law School Postgraduate Public Interest Fellowship.
Chelsea received her J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago Law School, where she participated in the Abrams Environmental Law Clinic and was a member of the Environmental Law Society. Chelsea holds a B.A. with honors in International Studies from the University of Chicago. Chelsea is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Before joining CLF in 2021, Chris served as the Chief People Officer for the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids, MI and the Vice President for Leadership Development for the YMCA of Greater Richmond, VA. Chris has also served as a trainer, conference organizer, and DEI Advisory Council Member for the YMCA of the USA in Chicago, IL. Chris has extensive experience leading non-profit organizations, developing comprehensive DEI strategies, and facilitating a healthy and positive workplace culture.
Chris has spearheaded a number of important projects, including developing statewide conferences for emerging multicultural leaders, creating and implementing large-scale coaching and mentoring programs and serving as a U.S. delegate to the YMCA's international Mano a Mano sin Fronteras (Hand-to-Hand without Borders) summit.
Chris continues to serve the YMCA in a volunteer capacity and has a passion for animal welfare, volunteering for such organizations as the ASPCA. He recently relocated from Raleigh, NC and spends his spare time tending to his menagerie of rescue pets.

In particular, she oversees climate resiliency activities for Southern New England and leads CLF's climate preparedness and public access initiative for Boston Harbor.

Diane O'Donnell is a temporary project manager in the Human Resources Department at CLF. Diane has experience prior to CLF in both nonprofit and for-profit organizations, mainly with conservation, science and research-based organizations. Diane oversees CLF's compensation study, and she is excited to be a part of such an important initiative.
Before joining CLF, Diane served as the Director of Compensation, Benefits & HRIS at the New England Aquarium. There, Diane developed compensation strategies focused on fair and equitable pay practices, served as project manager for the implementation of a UKG Human Resources Information System, and was committed to provide competitive, comprehensive and affordable benefits for Aquarium employees.
Diane graduated from Boston College with a BA in Human Development. She lives in Winchester, MA with her husband and two children and enjoys hiking, running, and hitting the ski slopes.

Eileen Marks is Chief Financial Officer for CLF, where she oversees finance, human resources, and operations. Her experience prior to joining CLF in 2020 includes work in both nonprofit and for-profit organizations in publishing, management consulting, and commercial banking.
As treasurer and vice president of the board of El Hogar Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit serving children born into extreme poverty in Honduras, she managed and streamlined financial operations, implemented human resource systems, and helped build organizational capacity for growth. Prior to that, she spent ten years at Harvard Business Publishing, where she grew their newsletter business from a start-up to a profitable business unit with multiple publications.
Eileen holds an MBA from Harvard Business School as well as a BBA in Business Honors and a BA in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. She lives in Winchester, MA with her two sons, is an avid explorer of independent bookstores, and likes to bike, hike, and travel.

Emily K. Green is a Senior Attorney for CLF Maine. In this role, she focuses on issues including climate change, clean energy, and ocean conservation.
Prior to joining CLF, Emily provided comprehensive legal services to Maine's Department of Environmental Protection as an Assistant Attorney General. Emily earned her J.D. from Cornell Law School and her undergraduate degree from New York University. She is admitted to practice in Maine and Massachusetts, the United States Courts of Appeals for the First and District of Columbia Circuits, and before the United States District Courts for the District of Maine, Massachusetts, and the District of Columbia. Outside of work, Emily spends her time in the mountains and on the seacoast. If she has to be inside, you'll find her hosting a party, listening to live music, or crafting.
Emma Cotter is CLF's Development Assistant. In this position, she supports the Development Department through gift processing, coordinating donor acknowledgments, and answering donor questions over the phone and through email.
Through working in Boston with CLF, Emma is fulfilling a lifelong dream of living in New England. She grew up in New York State and completed her undergraduate degree in Ohio at The College of Wooster, where she graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science. While in college, she researched how minority candidates' intersectional identities affect their use of race and gender issue ownership campaign strategies. She also completed a variety of internships, where she worked on projects centered on rural transportation equity, workforce reentry after a period of incarceration, and nonprofit management in the education sector.

Emma Keaney is CLF's Major Gifts Coordinator. In this role, she supports the VP of Development and the rest of the Development Department with the major gifts program. Erica Fuller is a Senior Attorney in our Ocean program. Erica's work focuses on advancing litigation and other solutions to protect vulnerable wildlife and habitat in the Northeast. Before joining CLF, Erica worked at Earthjustice, where she focused on protecting ocean ecosystems and rebuilding depleted forage and groundfish populations.
Erica holds a J.D. from the University of Maine, as well as a B.A. in Forestry and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. Prior to law school, Erica owned and operated an equine veterinary practice in the MetroWest Boston Area for 20 years. Following law school, Erica worked as a litigator in a Boston-based firm of trial lawyers and then for Earthjustice. Erica is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the First Circuit and the D.C. Circuit.

Greg Cunningham is a VP and Director of CLF's Clean Energy and Climate Change program. Greg joined CLF in 2008 after 10 years at Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson, where he was a shareholder and helped to develop its environmental practice group. Prior to that, Greg was a partner in a toxic tort litigation firm.
He recently served as the Chair of the Natural Resources Section of the Maine State Bar Association and co-authored the Maine Environmental Law Handbook published by Government Institutes. Additionally, he has been a state-appointed member of the Maine Indian Tribal State Commission since 2004.
Cunningham received his J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center, a Masters in Studies of Environmental Law from Vermont Law School and his undergraduate degree from Colby College.

Greg Polzer is CLF's Grants and Finance Manager. Greg works closely with the finance department by providing financial analysis, offering pre- and post-award support, and doing budgeting.
Greg is a founding member of the Providence Gay Flag Football League. The league provides a safe space for the LGBTQA+ community to play competitive flag football in Rhode Island. He is also the Treasurer on their Board of Trustees.

Heather Govern is the Vice President and Director of CLF's Clean Air and Water Program. Heather also teaches Natural Resources Law as an adjunct professor at the Northeastern University School of Law. Previously, Heather worked as a staff attorney with the National Environmental Law Center, where she litigated against large corporations in violation of the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act. Heather holds a J.D. from Northeastern, a Master in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School, and a B.A. from Amherst College. When not at work (or biking to and from work), Heather plays soccer, snowboards, and can be found running amok in the South End with her partner and two sons.

Heather Greenwood joined the CLF team as the Office Manager for the Rhode Island office in August of 2017. Before joining CLF, Heather directed the recycling program at a Keene State College for six years. The program received national recognition from the EPA for its collaborative work with food waste recovery outreach and education. Beyond her work at Keene State, she is known for designing and implementing a cutting edge recycling assessment system for schools. This program is used nationally by an industry leader here in New England.
A native Vermonter, Heather holds a BA in Environmental Psychology from Marlboro College in Vermont and a Masters in Resource Management and Conservation from Antioch University New England in New Hampshire. New to the area, she is excited to be living in the Ocean State!
Heidi Trimarco is a Staff Attorney working in the Clean Air & Water and Healthy Communities & Environmental Justice programs. Heidi advocates for clean air and water across New Hampshire, including working closely with CLF's Waterkeeper to protect the health of the Great Bay estuary. She also works on initiatives to address childhood lead poisoning and is helping to expand CLF's Environmental Justice program in New Hampshire to address the disparate impact of environmental problems. Before joining CLF, Heidi worked in private practice for over a decade as an environmental attorney and litigator. Her work ranged from the siting and developing of renewable energy projects to groundbreaking PFAS class action lawsuits in federal courts.
Heidi holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.A. cum laude in Government from Dartmouth College. She is admitted to practice in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York and Ohio. Heidi is the President of the Board of the Hanover Conservancy, a member of Sustainable Hanover's Energy Subcommittee, and a Ford Sayre Ski Team nordic coach for K-2 skiers.

Jake O'Neill is the press secretary for Conservation Law Foundation. In this role he oversees the organization's day-to-day external communications and media outreach.
Before joining the team at CLF, Jake was a senior media relations specialist at Northeastern University, where he was responsible for promoting the university's research and experts to local and national press. He also worked at a small public relations agency on a variety of technology and healthcare accounts. Jake holds a B.A. in Business and Communications from Saint Anselm College and an MBA from Northeastern University.
