Adam R. Dresher

Adam joined the Brooklyn Board in 2014. He is the Co-Founder and President of ALOFTA One Enterprises, a healthcare provider based in Phoenix, AZ. He previously worked over 20 years on Wall Street. Adam graduated from Franklin & Marshall College, where he played on the varsity squash team and was captain his senior year. Adam is also an alum of the Poly Prep Country Day School. A native of Brooklyn, Adam and his wife Claira and daughter Bella now live in Scottsdale.

Andreina Benedith

Andreina joined CitySquash in 2009. She attended the Brooks School for high school and graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Sociology. Andreina was also a member of the Franklin & Marshall Women's Varsity Squash Team. She currently works as a Practice Area Assistant, supporting corporate tax attorneys at Clifford Chance LLP.

Ben Mandel - Treasurer

Ben joined the Board of Directors in 2018. He has been involved with CitySquash since 2003, both as an active volunteer, winning Volunteer of the Year in 2005, and as a member of the Junior Board. Ben is an Analyst at Egerton Capital and received his M.B.A from Harvard Business School and his B.A. from Dartmouth College. He and his wife, Halley, live in New York City.

Ben Oliner

Ben joined the Brooklyn Board in 2014. He is the Assistant Athletic Director, Co-Director of Squash, and the Head Coach of the middle and high school boys teams at Poly Prep Country Day School. Prior to joining Poly Prep, Ben played squash professionally for three years while also serving as Assistant Coach at Vassar College and coaching at the Heights Casino in Brooklyn. Ben is a graduate of Brown University where he was a two-time captain, and All-American. He and his wife, Ann, live in Brooklyn with their son, Jack, and daughter Mia.

Bianca Troche

Bianca is an alumna of CitySquash and joined as a full-time staff member in 2021. As Director of Elementary School Academics, she is responsible for developing the academic enrichment curriculum for the 3 rd-5 th grade team members in the Bronx and tracks their academic progress. Bianca graduated from St. Lawrence University, where she majored in Psychology and double minored in Gender & Sexuality and Education. While at St. Lawrence, she was a tutor for the local elementary school, worked in the student center and was a member of various activist groups on campus. Bianca was born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y.

Billy Fleurima

Billy joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2023. He is currently an analyst at UBS Securities in their New York office, where he has worked since graduating from Connecticut College in 2021. At Connecticut College, he was the varsity captain of the men's squash team and a school record holder on the Track & Field team. Billy was admitted to the Columbia Business School deferred MBA admissions program in 2022 where he hopes to matriculate by 2027. Billy is a proud alum of CitySquash, after joining the program his 4 th grade year in 2008.

Brian Cady

Brian joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2019. He currently works as a Product Manager at BlockFi, a crypto currency wealth management platform. Brian graduated Middlebury College in 2011 where he played on the varsity squash and golf teams. He also coached the Middlebury Men's and Women's squash teams during the 2014-2015 season. Brian grew up in Rye New York and has been a CitySquash mentor to Alex Lorenzo, a High School team member, since 2013.

Brian Walsh

Brian joined the CitySquash Board in 2014. He is Chairman and Chief Investment Officer at Saguenay Strathmore Capital which he co-founded in 2002. Brian has over 30 years of investment banking, international capital markets and investment management experience. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Business Administration degrees from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Brian also serves on the Board of Directors of Great-West Lifeco, Inc., the Great West Life and Annuity Insurance Company, Putnam Investments Inc. and serves on the International Advisory Board of HEC (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) and on the Global Business Council of Queen's University School of Business. Brian has four children, is an avid squash player, and currently lives in Rye, NY.

Bryan Patterson

Bryan joined CitySquash in 2007. As Director of Squash, Bryan manages squash practices and oversees the squash development of CitySquash's team members, leading a fitness program, guiding technical instruction and coaching at tournaments. He competed on the world professional squash circuit and was ranked as high as #2 in the U.K. and #16 in the world. He was a founding member of the ISPA (International Squash Players Association), now the PSA. Bryan represented England in the Home Countries Team Championships, the European Team Championships and Great Britain in the Team and Individual World Championships. As a coach, Bryan has been the English boys' squads Assistant National Coach, Head Squash Professional at the Squash Club at CHASS in Philadelphia and Head Squash Professional at the Heights Casino in Brooklyn Heights. He was also the director of the USA Junior National squads. Bryan has one son, John, and lives in the Bronx.

Buzz Doherty - Chairman

Buzz joined the Brooklyn Board in 2014 and the Board of Directors in 2015. He currently serves as a Managing Partner at North Sea Partners. Prior to joining North Sea, he was Executive Vice President/Fund Partner at Ridgewood Energy Corporation where he led successful efforts to raise the first institutional fund at a private equity firm focused on oil and gas exploration. Buzz is a graduate of both Amherst College and the Wharton Graduate School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a proud squash parent-daughter Maura (Dartmouth ‘11) and Hugh (Colby '17) have both worked at CitySquash in the Bronx.

Charlotte Steel

Charlotte joined the CitySquash board in 2023 after being involved with the program for nearly 20 years as a mentor, volunteer tutor, and Junior Board member. Charlotte does Product Marketing and Pricing Strategy for Toast, a cloud-based restaurant software and payments company. Prior to Toast, she worked as a Consultant for EY-Parthenon and received an MBA from Harvard Business School. She began her career as a Math and Science teacher for the NYC Department of Education after graduating from Brown University. Charlotte also has a Masters in Education from CUNY's City College of New York. At Brown, Charlotte played on the Women's Varsity Squash Team and served as captain in her senior year. Charlotte lives in Connecticut with her husband and their son.

Colin Murfree

Colin joined CitySquash in 2015. As Program Director, he manages the day-to-day operations of CitySquash's Bronx program. Previously, Colin was the Director of Middle School Academics in the Bronx for five years, and also served as the organization's Academic Chair. Colin graduated from Stanford University in 2009, where he majored in Communication. After spending a year in Santiago, Chile, Colin was a high school Spanish teacher for four years in Baltimore, MD. In addition to teaching, he also coached volleyball and baseball and co-founded A Bridge Abroad, a non-profit organization centered on student travel. Colin was born and raised in Salisbury, MD and currently lives in Manhattan.

Courtney Bogle Longley

Courtney joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2015. She is a Banker at the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where she manages client relationships for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. Previously, Courtney was an Investment Management Associate at BBR Partners, a boutique wealth management firm. Courtney earned an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business in 2018 and a B.A. from Williams College in 2012. She played on the Williams Women's Varsity squash team, captaining the team her senior year. She also serves as a mentor for High School CitySquasher Fatima Hernandez and is a frequent volunteer at CitySquash's weekend squash practices. Courtney grew up in Bronxville, New York and currently resides in Manhattan.

Courtney Knowlton

Courtney first worked at CitySquash from 2004-2006 at the Director of High School Placement. After leaving CitySquash, she worked as the Program Director and Dean of Faculty at The East Harlem School for fifteen years, before returning to CitySquash as the Development Director. Courtney graduated from Amherst College with a double major in English and Spanish. At Amherst, Courtney played on the varsity field hockey and lacrosse teams. In 2011, she received her MA in Educational Leadership from NYU. Courtney grew up in Montclair, NJ and now lives in Larchmont, NY with her family.

Criselys Polanco

Criselys joined CitySquash in 2006. She attended Riverdale Country School for high school and earned her bachelor's degree in Sociology from Hamilton College in 2016. Since graduating, she has focused her work in the educational sector, working first at DonorsChoose and most recently as the Head of Admissions and High School Placement at the East Harlem School.

Danielle Ganek

David Ganek

David joined the CitySquash Board in 2011. David co-founded Level Global Investments in 2003. Prior to starting Level Global, David was an equity trader at SAC Capital. David graduated from Franklin and Marshall College, where he played on the varsity squash team. David serves on the Board of Trustees of the Guggenheim Museum and lives in Manhattan with his wife and three children.

Edgardo Gonzalez

Edgardo joined CitySquash in 2002 as part of the organization's first class. Edgardo attended Salisbury School for high school and graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2013, where he studied Psychology and captained the Varsity Squash Team his senior year. After graduating, Edgardo worked at StreetSquash as their Senior Squash Director and now works at Squash + Education Alliance as the Director of Squash.

Elizabeth Schetman

Elizabeth joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2017. She is an Associate at BlackRock, where she works with institutional clients in the Insurance and Wealth Management industries. Prior to joining BlackRock, Elizabeth worked at Goldman Sachs in the firm's Investment Management Division. Elizabeth earned a B.A. in Economics and Art History from Bowdoin College in 2013. While at Bowdoin she played on the women's varsity squash team for four years, co-captaining the team her senior year. Elizabeth grew up in Brooklyn and currently resides in Manhattan.

Elyse Douglas

Elyse joined the Brooklyn Board in 2017. She currently serves on the board of Assurant, a global provider of risk management solutions, and is a Senior Research Scholar at the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business. Previously, Elyse was Executive Vice President and CFO of Hertz Global Holdings, Inc., treasurer of Coty, Inc., and an assistant treasurer of Nabisco. When not in Brooklyn, Elyse and her husband enjoy cheering on their son, Andrew, an All-American squash player at Penn.

Freddy Hernandez

Freddy joined CitySquash in 2003. He attended Canterbury School for high school and graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2014, where he played Varsity Squash and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Spanish. After graduating, Freddy worked at US Squash and currently works as a freelance Software Developer. Freddy mentors a middle school team member in Brooklyn, and has helped coach for CitySquash in Brooklyn as well.

Gabriella Garr

Gabriella joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2018. She is an Analyst in the New York office of Hall Capital Partners, an asset management firm headquartered in San Francisco. She graduated from Princeton University in 2017 with an A.B. in Art History and a minor in Spanish Language & Culture. While at Princeton, she was a member of the women's varsity squash team. Gabby has also served as a mentor since 2017.

Gerald B. Ouderkirk III

Jerry joined the CitySquash Board in 2010. A Senior Managing Director and Head of Structured Credit at Pretium Partners, Jerry has overall responsibility for the Firm's corporate credit program. Prior to Pretium, Jerry was a Partner at Goldman Sachs. Jerry graduated from Colgate University in 1998 with a BA in English and Economics. He lives in New York City and has three daughters, and is an avid squash player himself.

Gerry Murray - Chairman

Gerry joined the CitySquash Board in 2013. Gerry retired in 2022 after spending 28 years at J.P. Morgan, the last 10 of which as head of the firm's N.A. Leveraged Finance Group. Gerry received a BA in Economics from Georgetown University and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Georgetown Baker Scholars Program. Gerry and his wife Caroline have three children, all of who were active junior and college squash players. Gerry, Caroline and their dog Jax currently spend their time between Bronxville, New York and Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

Giustina joined CitySquash in 2017 through the Up2Us Coach program. She oversees the local academic curriculum and runs high school academic programming. Giustina earned a B.S. in Psychology and Spanish Language & Literature in 2017 from Fordham University. While at Fordham, Giustina volunteered with CitySquash between 2015 and 2017 as a Homework Help Aide and Learning Center Intern. In addition to having studied abroad in Spain, she has worked with Fordham University's Office of Multicultural Affairs. Giustina was born and raised in Brewster, NY and lives in the Bronx.

Gray Huffard - Chairman

Gray joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2016. He is an Assistant Vice President at Bessemer Trust, a wealth management firm based in New York. He is a member of the Client Advisory Group and is responsible for the management of both individual and fiduciary relationships. Gray is based in the firm's Greenwich, CT office. Gray is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, and a member of the Institute of Certified Bankers. Gray graduated from Colgate University in 2013 with a degree in Political Science. Gray also serves as a mentor for High School team member Caleb Boateng and was named Mentor of the Year in 2015. Gray lives in Cos Cob, Connecticut.

Guadalupe Sanchez

Guadalupe joined CitySquash in 2021. As the Director of College Access and Success, she manages the college awareness and application process and provides ongoing support for college students. Prior to joining CitySquash, Guadalupe served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Alvernia University and as a college advisor with NYU College Advising Corps at Fordham Leadership Academy. She graduated from Columbia University in 2018 with a B.A. in Urban Studies and a concentration in Sociology. At Columbia, she was actively involved with the university's non-profit, Community Impact, as both a volunteer and part-time staff member. Guadalupe is from Cleveland, OH and currently lives in Manhattan.

Hope Matthews

Hope joined the Junior Board in 2020. She is an Associate Product Manager at Discovery, where she works on the direct-to-consumer Food Network digital team. Hope graduated from Middlebury College in 2018 with a B.A. in Computer Science and a minor in Geology. While at Middlebury, she played on the Women's Varsity Squash and Golf teams, and captained the golf team her senior year. Hope is the proud mentor of Middle School team member Ashley Amaro.

Isabel Pitaro

Isabel joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2022. She is currently an Associate at Milbank LLP in the Litigation group. Isabel earned a B.A. magna cum laude in International Relations from Brown University in 2016 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2020. At Brown, Isabel played on the women's varsity squash team for four years and was Co-Captain of the team her senior year. Isabel grew up playing squash at The Heights Casino in Brooklyn and attended The Brearley School. She currently resides in Manhattan.

Jean Ervasti

Jean joined the Brooklyn Board in 2014. She is a professional artist and photographer. Both Jean and her husband John are alumni of Miami University in Ohio. Her two children, Jack and Lark, are nationally-ranked squash players and both have developed deep friendships with many CitySquashers over the years. Jack played college squash at Williams, while Lark currently trains out of the Heights Casino. Jean is a long-time Brooklyn resident.

John Beam

John joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2017. He is currently an Associate at Oak Hill Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in New York City. John earned an A.B. in Religion from Colgate University in 2013 where he captained the men's varsity tennis team. John currently mentors Justin Galarza, a High School CitySquash team member.

Jonah Peppiatt

Jonah joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2023. He is counsel at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where he represents creditors, companies and purchasers in a wide range of corporate restructurings, bankruptcy and liability management transactions. Jonah earned his JD/MBA from NYU's School of Law and Stern School of Business, and his bachelor's degree from Tufts University where he was on the varsity squash, rugby and water polo teams. He has been playing in NY Squash tournaments and leagues since high school, and currently captains a team for Open Squash. He grew up in Manhattan and lives in Brooklyn.

Jose Alvarez

Jose joined the CitySquash Board of Directors in 2020, as the first CitySquash alum to join the Board. Jose was part of CitySquash's inaugural class and went on to attend Canterbury School for high school and Hobart and William Smith for college. Jose graduated from Hobart in 2009, where he played on the Varsity Squash Team. Jose earned his Master's in Education from Relay Graduate School in 2016 and currently works in the South Bronx at The American Dream School as a Math Instructional Coach and Algebra Teacher. He has been a CitySquash mentor for several years and lives in the Bronx.

Jose Fernandez

Jose joined CitySquash in 2007. He attended high school at Fordham Leadership Academy for Business and Technology and graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Communications. Jose hopes to become a guidance counselor to continue helping youth, just as he was helped by CitySquash and his school counselors.

Julia Pershan

Julia joined the CitySquash board in 2015. She helps manage the Areté Foundation which supports endeavors in the fields of education, health, and the arts. Julia has extensive history in the nonprofit sector and community service, having co-founded Freedom Summer, a nonprofit organization dedicated to young voter registration and participation before being appointed by President Clinton to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She currently also sits on the board of directors of the Outward Bound Center for Peacekeeping, the Islesboro Islands Trust, and The Brearley School where her three daughters Ella, Phoebe, and Hannah are currently enrolled. Julia and her husband Jonathan live in Manhattan where they enjoy watching their daughters play increasingly good squash.

Katie Harrison

Katie joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2017. She currently is an Associate on the Client Advisory team at Chilton Trust, a wealth management firm based in New York City. Katie earned a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University in 2013, where she played on the women's varsity squash team for four years. Katie grew up in Greenwich, CT and currently resides in Manhattan. Katie first began volunteering with CitySquash in 2007 and has been involved ever since.

Katiria Sanchez

Katiria joined CitySquash in 2006. She attended Bronx Center for Science & Mathematics for high school and graduated from Trinity College in 2016, where she majored in International Studies, minored in Spanish, and was a member of the Varsity Squash Team. She has worked for StreetSquash since graduating and is currently their Senior Squash Director.

Keith Merrill

Keith joined the CitySquash Board in 2023 after serving for nine years on the Junior Board. He currently works as a Managing Director at Centerbridge Partners, L.P., a private equity and distressed debt investment firm based in New York City where he focuses on the firm's marketing and fundraising efforts, as well as investor relations activity. Keith previously worked at Satellite Asset Management, L.P. and began his career in the Prime Finance Group at Citigroup. He graduated with a B.A. in Economics and Government from St. Lawrence University in 2006 and was a four-year member of the men's squash team.

Kelly Boyle Campelli - President

Lanique Rhyne

Lanique joined CitySquash in 2006. She attended Mercersburg Academy for high school and graduated from Lehman College in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in English. After graduating, Lanique worked at CitySquash as the Volunteer Coordinator through the Up2Us Coach Across America program for a year, and has been working as a Financial Representative Assistant since. Lanique recently earned her Master's in Criminal Justice from John Jay College and also serves as a CitySquash mentor to a high school student in the Bronx.

Laura Trevelyan

Laura joined the Board of Directors in 2017. She is an anchor of the BBC's US newscast BBC World News America which broadcasts on the global 24 hour news channel BBC World News. As a correspondent, Laura has reported for the BBC from around the world, covering humanitarian crises and diplomatic visits, interviewing leading newsmakers and public figures. Laura was educated at Parliament Hill Girls School in North London before going on to gain a first class degree in politics from Bristol University in 1990 and a postgraduate diploma in journalism from the University of Wales College, Cardiff in 1991. Laura, her husband, James, and their three squash playing sons frequently host CitySquash team members at their Brooklyn home.

Lauren Chu

Lauren joined the CitySquash Board in 2023. She had previously served on the CitySquash Junior Board from 2016-2022. She is a Managing Director at a privately owned real estate company in New York City. Lauren earned an A.B. in English from Princeton University in 2004 where she played on the women's varsity squash team. She also earned an MMH from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. Lauren has been a long-time supporter of CitySquash and serves as a mentor for high school team member Dalia Hipolito and was named Mentor of the Year in 2016.

Lauren McGowan

Lauren joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2021. She is a Senior Associate at KPMG in their financial services audit practice, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Lauren earned a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Fordham University in 2017, and an M.S. in Accounting from Villanova University in 2018. At Fordham, she captained the Women's Squash Team. Lauren is the proud mentor of High School team member Ashley Montesinos and was named Mentor of the Year in 2021. She currently resides in Manhattan.

Lorenzo Heholt

Lorenzo joined the CitySquash Board of Directors in 2022 and works as a Vice President in J.P. Morgan's Leveraged Finance Group. He earned his BA in Economics from Johns Hopkins University and his MBA from the University of Virginia. A strong believer in the power of sports, Lorenzo was a member of the Johns Hopkins Men's Lacrosse Team that won the 2007 Division I National Championship. He lives with his wife, three daughters, and chocolate lab in Summit, NJ

Luke Wherry

Luke joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2022. He is a corporate associate in the New York office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Previously, Luke worked at Shearman & Sterling LLP in the mergers and acquisitions group. Luke earned a B.A. with Honors from the College of Social Studies at Wesleyan University and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. At Wesleyan, Luke served as captain of the men's varsity squash team. Luke is a life-long New Yorker and attended the Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn Heights.

Magdalena Arias

Magdalena Arias joined CitySquash in 2023. As Director of Placement she guides team members through the independent school admissions process. She is a recent graduate from Williams College, where she double majored in English and French. While at Williams, she was a Teaching Assistant at Williamstown Elementary School and worked at Misongi Organization, a non-profit based in Cameroon that helps high-achieving, low-income Cameroonian students apply to universities in the United States. Magdalena is originally from Panama and worked at a United Way homework center in Panama City, where she taught a creative writing extracurricular. She currently lives in Manhattan.

Maggie O'Toole

Maggie joined the CitySquash board in 2021 after being involved with the program for years as a mentor. Maggie is an interior, set, and event designer based in New York City, and has worked in Film, Television, Fashion, and Events since 2013. Maggie graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Art History and a certificate in Painting, and also received an A.A.S. in Interior Design from Parsons, The New School for Design. At Princeton, she played on the Women's Varsity Squash Team, which won three consecutive national championships and two Ivy League titles, and she served as a captain her senior year. Maggie is still an avid squash player and also serves on the Board of Trustees at the Pingry School in NJ.

Manuela Perez

Mannie joined the CitySquash Junior Board in January 2019. She is currently the Assistant Director of Admissions at the Oliver Scholars Program. Mannie attended Barnard College where she double majored in Economics and African Studies. Mannie joined CitySquash as a 6th grade member in 2006 and has dedicated a lot of time to giving back to the program since she graduated, including serving as a mentor to a current High School team member, Fatima Jaquez. She is the first alum to join the junior board and is thrilled to continue her journey with CitySquash.

Meredeth Quick

Meredeth joined the Brooklyn Board in 2014. She is co-Director of Squash and the Head Coach of the girls' varsity squash team at Poly Prep Country Day School, where she also teaches 6 th grade English. Prior to Poly Prep, Meredeth played squash professionally for six years, while also coaching at the Heights Casino in Brooklyn. She has played on the US National Team, coached the US Junior Women's Team, and remains a top-ranked professional doubles player. Meredeth is a graduate of Princeton University where she was a four-time All-American, leading the Tigers to two national championships. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Peter, and their sons, Dylan and Tyler.

Michael Gantcher

Mike joined the Brooklyn Board in 2015. He currently serves as the Head of Sales at RS Metrics. Prior to RS Metrics, he worked in sales at Madison Williams & Co., Oppenheimer and Company, and Lehman Brothers. Mike holds a B.A. in Urban Studies & Affairs from Hobart & William Smith. Mike and his wife, Christina, and two boys are all active squash players. Both boys attend Poly Prep and Billy is a regular CitySquash volunteer. Mike and his family live in Brooklyn.

Neil Abromavage

Neil joined the CitySquash Board in 2024, but his long-time Fordham University connection has allowed him to admire the mission for over two decades. He is a Managing Director at Bank of America in the Financial Institutions Group where he leads the Financial Sponsor & Asset / Wealth Management coverage efforts. Neil played wide receiver at Fordham in the Patriot League, but has only found a small amount of that requisite speed and footwork to be even remotely relevant to his yet-to-blossom squash game. For over a decade, Neil has combined his Wall Street experience with his strong development and mentoring skills to act as Special Advisor and Program Counsel to a select group of NCAA Division 1-A / 1-AA head coaches at several major US universities. He received his B.S. from Fordham University and his M.B.A from Columbia Business School.

Nick Burgin

Nick joined the CitySquash Board in 2016. Nick is the founder of Cape Poge Capital and previously worked for 17 years at Goldman Sachs in New York, Tokyo, and London. Nick received a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University, where he also spent several years rowing on the crew team. Nick also serves on the Board of Trustees of Groton School and lives in Bronxville with his wife, Courtney, and three children. He is an active (albeit frequently injured) squash player, and his children are active in the sport as well.

Peter Kelly

Pete Kelly grew up in Brooklyn playing squash at the Heights Casino and attending Packer Collegiate Institute. He graduated from Princeton University in 2002 and later in 2008 from Emory University where he earned his JD and MBA. Following Emory, Pete joined J.P. Morgan's investment banking division, where he remains today. An avid squash player, Pete and his wife, Brittany, live in Brooklyn with their two sons.

Peter Nolan

Peter joined the Junior Board in 2020. He currently works in financial services at BlackRock where he is a Vice President of business strategy and development for iShares, BlackRock's exchange-traded fund (ETF) business. While he has also worked at The Vanguard Group in various roles and at JPMorgan in equity derivatives, his formative professional experience came from a brief stint as Squash Director at CitySquash Brooklyn in 2015. Peter graduated from Kenyon College in 2011, where he captained both the men's squash and soccer teams, and received an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Rachel Hines

Rachel Hines joined the Brooklyn Board in 2014. Rachel recently retired from J.P. Morgan where she worked for 16 years, focusing primarily on financing in emerging market countries. She is currently on the Board of Trustees of Sesame Workshop where she is on the Executive Committee and chairs the Finance Committee. Additionally, she serves on the Board of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy, the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity in New York City, and is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations. She holds a BA from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Yale University School of Management. Rachel lives in Brooklyn with her husband and three sons.

Rachel Yedid

Rachel Yedid is a former Special Education teacher who taught 2nd grade for 6 years before starting her own family. Rachel developed a love of reading and writing while in college at The University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in English. She went on to serve in Teach for America for two years while receiving her Master's in Early Childhood Special Education from Lehman College. Since becoming a mother, Rachel has taken on various leadership roles at her children's schools including Parents Association President and has dedicated her time to serving on multiple school wide committees. Rachel is a college essay advisor and works with high school juniors and seniors. She currently resides in New York City with her husband and two sons.

Rana Bansal

Rana joined the CitySquash Junior Board in 2021. He is currently an Associate at Crestview Partners, an investment firm based in New York City. Rana graduated from Harvard College in 2019 with an A.B. in Economics. At Harvard, he was a member of the Men's Varsity Squash Team. Rana is the proud mentor of Gabe Garcia, a Middle school CitySquash Team Member.

Reyna Pacheco

Reyna joined the CitySquash Board of Directors in 2020. Reyna is an alum of the San Diego squash and education program, Access Youth Academy, and graduated from Columbia University in 2016, where she played Varsity Squash all four years. After graduating, she competed on the Professional Squash Association tour for several years, attaining a career-high ranking of #67. She now lives in New York City and works at Goldman Sachs.

Sam Haig

Sam joined the City Squash Junior Board in 2018. He is a an associate at a quantitative investment firm in New York, where he has worked since graduating from Yale in 2013 with a B.S. in Physics. At Yale, Sam was a member of the varsity squash team and involved with local urban squash program, Squash Haven. Sam is also the proud mentor of Middle School team member, Coby Galarza.

Sanford M. Schwartz - Founder

Sanford founded CitySquash in 2002. A strong believer in the enrichment program model pioneered by CitySquash's sister programs in Roxbury and Harlem, Sanford works closely with the CitySquash staff and Board to improve the breadth and scope of organization. Sanford received his B.A. from George Washington University in 1973, a Ph.D. in Sociology from Catholic University in 1983, and an M.S.W. degree from Fordham University in 2005. A resident of Scarsdale, New York, Sanford is the President of Research Horizons, a marketing research firm, and previously held executive positions at other marketing research firms, including Market Facts, Elrick and Lavidge, Quick Test and Westat. Sanford has his own clinical practice and is a Board member of FJC - a foundation of donor advised funds. An avid squash player since the mid-1980's, Sanford claims that he is still learning how to play the game.

Sarah Robertson

Sarah is the mother of four avid squash players. She teaches workshops and assists with external communications at PAVE Academy, a K-8th grade charter school in Red Hook, Brooklyn, founded by her husband. She also serves on the board of the Robertson Foundation. She has taught mindfulness classes for children and adults and also founded an herbal tea company, Steep Rise. She has worked as a staff writer for the Wall Street Journal and has also freelanced for many other publications, including The New York Times. Sarah graduated from Duke University.

Spencer Robertson

Spencer Robertson joined the Brooklyn Board in 2014. He is the Founder and Executive Director of PAVE Academy, one of CitySquash Brooklyn's two partner schools. Before launching PAVE, Spencer worked at North Star Academy Charter School of Newark. Spencer completed the Building Excellent Schools Fellowship, which provided him one year to study the highest performing public schools in America. He holds an MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, with a focus on the non-profit sector. His education career includes three years as a seventh and eighth graders language arts and Spanish teacher and co-founder of the school's running club. He then served as a program officer at the Tiger Foundation, supporting after-school programs and early child development initiatives throughout New York City. He graduated from Duke University in 1998. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and four children.

Stacy Maceda

Stacy joined CitySquash in 2009. She attended Bronx Center for Science & Mathematics for high school and graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2019 with a degree in Anthropology and minors in Women's Studies and International Relations. At William Smith, she was a four-year member of the Varsity Squash Team. Stacy is passionate about addressing the educational inequity gap and has worked as an Executive Assistant at Classroom Inc. since graduating. Additionally, Stacy serves as a CitySquash mentor to a middle school team member in the Bronx.

Stephanie Ingrassia

Stephanie joined the Brooklyn Board in 2014. She currently serves as the President of the Board of the Brooklyn Museum. Stephanie studied fine arts and art history at Michigan State and the University of London, and received a BA from the School of Visual Arts in New York. She has also been a board member of BRIC Arts/Media and of Creative Time. Stephanie, her husband, Tim, and their four children have mentored many CitySquashers over the years, hosting them at squash tournaments and on overnight excursions. Stephanie and her family lives in Brooklyn.

Terence Li

Terence became Executive Director of CitySquash in 2014, after re-joining the organization as Program Director in 2012. He previously worked at CitySquash from 2005-2007. Terence was a member of the varsity squash team at Yale University, where he received a B.A. in 2004 in architecture. After leaving CitySquash in 2007, Terence received both an M.Sc. in Economic History from the London School of Economics and an M.B.A from the Yale School of Management. After business school, Terence worked in finance before returning to CitySquash. Terence grew up in Saskatchewan, Canada, where he was a competitive racquetball player. He currently lives in Manhattan with his wife and their three children.

Tim Wyant

Tim was the executive director of CitySquash from 2002 to 2013. Before joining CitySquash, Tim was a varsity squash player at Harvard College, where he received a B.A. and where he also played varsity soccer. After graduation, Tim competed on the professional squash tour for two years and played for the U.S. Men's National Team. Tim serves on the board of U.S. Squash and is the former chair of the U.S. Squash Doubles Committee. In 2005, Tim co-founded the Squash and Education Alliance, and in 2012 he became its Executive Director. Tim grew up in Cincinnati and lives in Brooklyn.

Victoria Haghighi

Victoria is an alumna of CitySquash and joined as a full-time staff member in 2023. Victoria was part of the placement program where she attended the Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts. While at boarding school, she developed a passion for marine biology and earned her beginner, advanced, and rescue scuba certifications. Victoria graduated from Bates College, where she majored in Biology and minored in Earth and Climate Science. While at Bates, she played on the women's squash team and participated in the study abroad program, where she studied abroad in South Africa and Panama. As the Program Associate, she is responsible for squash coaching, assisting middle and high school placement students with their applications and essays, and meeting with current CitySquash college students. Victoria was born in Manhattan and currently resides in the Bronx.

Victoria Huchro

Victoria joined CitySquash in 2023. As Director of Middle School Academics, she is responsible for developing the academic enrichment curriculum for the 6th-8th grade team members in the Bronx and tracking their academic progress. Before joining CitySquash, Victoria worked as 6th Grade Teacher in Washington D.C. while completing her Masters in Education and Special Education from NYU. Victoria graduated from Cornell University and double majored in Development Sociology and Inequality Studies. While at Cornell, Victoria was the Captain of the Women's Varsity Squash Team. Victoria was born and raised in Westchester, NY, and currently lives there.

Vincent Hodge

Vincent Hodge is the Director of Financial Aid and the Assistant Director of Admissions at Episcopal High School in Alexandria Virginia. He is a graduate of Episcopal High School and has a BA from Stanford University and and MA from Princeton. He has supported numerous CitySquash students through their journeys at Episcopal and joined the CitySquash board in 2022.

William Pantle

Will joined CitySquash as a staff member in 2022. He is an alum of the program, having graduated in 2020. As assistant director of squash, he is responsible for designing and leading squash practices for elementary, middle, and high school team members. His role is to develop a passion for squash for the entire program. Will graduated from Fordham University in 2020, where he majored in Economics. While at Fordham, Will played on the varsity squash team and also worked and learned how to coach at Westchester Squash Academy where he was the assistant pro for 5 years. Will was born in the Bronx and currently resides in Queens.
