CROOK COUNTY FIRE & RESCUE

Established in 1884, Crook County Fire & Rescue is the oldest fire department in Central Oregon. We operate as a "Special District" and we are directly accountable to a five member elected board. Along with much of Central Oregon, our community is experiencing rapid growth... Crook County Fire and Rescue provides fire suppression, prevention, investigation, inspection and emergency medical services to a community of approximately 23,000 residents. We respond from three fire stations and provide fire protection to a 450 square mile area of Crook County including the City of Prineville and the communities of Powell Butte, Juniper Canyon and Lone Pine. Our Ambulance Service Area encompasses the majority of the 3,000 square miles of Crook County. The District has 50 emergency responders including 21 career staff assigned to three shifts... Crook County Fire & Rescue serves the residents of Prineville, Oregon and the surrounding Crook County area from three fire stations.
