In its 50-year history, the Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has coordinated activities for over 40 large, multi-site clinical trials and epidemiology studies. These studies have involved hundreds of clinical or field centers and hundreds of thousands of research subjects and produced over 2,000 research publications... The CSCC consists of more than 100 staff and students, including more than a dozen faculty members from the UNC - Chapel Hill departments of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Nutrition, Medicine (Cardiology Division) and Social Medicine. People at the center collaborate with co-investigators in numerous other departments, centers, and schools across the UNC - Chapel Hill campus...
