Georgia Humanities is a public-private leadership partnership. We receive funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities and from the state of Georgia, through the Georgia General Assembly and the Georgia Department of Economic Development. We also request and receive funding from various foundations for special projects, and we rely on the generosity of organizational, institutional, and personal donations... Founded in 1971, Georgia Humanities is an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. We are the only organization in Georgia providing statewide support of the humanities.
