Goshen Baptist Church believes in believer's Baptism only. We believe that baptism is one of the two ordinances that the Lord had told us to observe, the other ordinance being the Lord's Supper. We believe that when a person makes a public confession that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior, the next step is to be baptized by immersion. Baptism is a symbol that declares that the old man has been buried, and the new man has been raised. We do not believe that baptism saves anyone, but we do believe that a person should be baptized once they have made Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior... The Philippians jailor asked Paul and Silas, "What must I do to be saved?" They answered, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved." (Acts 16:30-31) We at Goshen Baptist Church believe that salvation can only come through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that a person must realize that they are a sinner and they need to be saved.
