The Humane Society of Morgan County (HSMC) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Berkeley Springs, WV (EIN# 55-0594927). Our mission is to provide comfort, care and shelter to lost, homeless, and unwanted cats and dogs. We wish to educate our community about the programs and resources available and provide access to essential medical services for their pets, such as vaccinations and spay/neutering... Incorporated in 1978, we have provided food, shelter, and medical support for cats and dogs either found as strays or surrendered by their owners in Morgan County and the surrounding area. We also work with the community in providing an ongoing Trap/Neuter/Return program to address the feral cat population in the county... Because we are a No-Kill animal shelter, we receive ZERO funding from the State or County. We rely solely on donations, fundraising, and adoptions to sustain our facility.
