Volunteers provide an essential resource for the Minnesota Discovery Center in carrying out its charitable, scientific, and educational mission. We offer many opportunities to get involved! What are your interests? We have volunteer opportunities in education, concerts, paleontology, special events, the Research Center, and others! Our Board of Directors is made of volunteers, too!... The Minnesota Discovery Center is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization duly incorporated in Minnesota. We are held in public trust and governed by a nonprofit volunteer board of directors... Sprawling over a 660-acre campus, we represent the largest museum complex in Minnesota outside the Twin Cities. Our 33,000-square-foot museum showcases native artifacts, examines historical mining methods, and explores our regional geology. We also host traveling exhibits that demonstrate the spirit of the Iron Range.
