JOHN

John specializes in photographing sunsets, sunrises, nature, landmarks, architecture, and a variety of other sights that we often miss or overlook in the hurried pace of life - or while we sleep. He is somewhat like a moth - drawn toward the muted light before dawn or after the sun has set; and he uses his photographic skills to show that light in unusual ways. In addition to creative use of light, he applies the three Ps to his photography: Patience, Placement, and Perseverance. His philosophy is, "You can't get the shot that isn't there, and you can't get a shot if you're not there."... Some of John's work can be occasionally seen during photographic exhibits at The Bowen Center for the Arts on Hwy 9 in historic downtown Dawsonville. His work continues to be shown and sold in Austin, Texas at the Images of Austin Gallery. John maintains a sizable collection of framed and unframed art at his home studio and viewing is available by appointment.
