The Martine Inn is a living museum-quality boutique hotel near Carmel, CA created by Don Martine. In 1972, Don purchased the Parkes mansion that was scheduled for demolition. He conducted a $1,000,000 restoration of the property that included replacing all plumbing, wiring and heating. The Martine Inn is furnished with authentic period antiques ranging from 1800 to 1920. During their stay, guests truly can experience the way life was lived as a wealthy person 120 years ago... The Martine Inn was originally built as an estate for the heirs of Parke Family Pharmaceuticals in the early 1900's. It was then reimagined and converted to an oceanfront hotel by Mr. Don Martine.
