Today, MCVP and its partner organizations throughout the Monadnock Region and across the state are faced with a social context that is both ambiguous and precarious, leaving survivors of interpersonal violence uncertain of what may come of certain protections and services upon which they rely. Those of us who fight for equality fear what a nation of greater disparities would look and feel like. Those of us who fight for empowerment reject any system that disempowers those who might already be vulnerable and at risk. And those of us who fight for emotional and physical safety worry about funding cuts that might create a dearth of services in a new society that narrows the circumference of our proud American safety net which is proven to save lives, protect children, and generate hope. At the same time, we must remember that all is not lost - at MCVP, there is an entire staff of advocates who are dedicated to serving survivors and will continue to do so despite any obstacles which come..
