In the far corner of Oregon their lives a simple man. Some people call him the hobo. For the last 33 years he has been trying to live in the simplest way possible. He lives in a tiny (80 sq. ft) underground room made of reused pine boards. He caretakes a 2-acre meadow along a small stream. He has a composting toilet, sauna, a manual shower and push mower. He does not pursue the all mighty dollar. His days are free. He's got the monk thing pretty wired. He is a free and happy man. 33 years ago, he was a busy professional photographer. Then he decided to chuck everything including his car, apartment, TV, all things related to a traditional life. Then he started walking and drawing all the things he saw in his little journal. When he decided to walk across Oregon in 1993, Simple Shoes sent him a pair of boots, and soon he became their roving artist. Over the years Simple and the Hobo created 77 issues of his illustrated journal titled Moonlight Chronicles. He traveled far and wide..
