In 1985, the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) was established to aid in fostering the continual intellectual and professional development of North Carolina teachers. Our programming, whether residential, school based, virtual, or online, focuses on the transfer of research into practice. Regardless of specific content, NCCAT programs provide best practice instruction to help teachers support our NC students.
