MN DAILY MEDIA - Key Persons
Ainsley Brown (she/they) is a third-year student at the University of Minnesota. They have worked at the Daily since October 2022. She is a double major in geography and journalism. Their favorite part about working for the Daily is getting to work with her fellow journalists. In her free time, Ainsley loves to play her violin or bass.
Alex is a sports reporter from South Elgin, Illinois. He is a journalism student at the University of Minnesota with minors in political science and leadership. Alex loves Big Ten sports, especially basketball and volleyball. He is also a theatre enthusiast and loves musical theatre. Alex Lassiter is third-year student at the University of Minnesota. This is his first year working at the Daily as a campus staff reporter. Alex is majoring in journalism and minoring in Spanish. He loves being a reporter since he gets to learn so many new things from people who come from all walks of life. He thinks he has learned more from certain interviews than he had in my entire K-12 career. If there was an award for "Most Likely to secretly be Spider-Man", he would probably have won.

Alexandra DeYoe is a Journalism and History major at the University of Minnesota. She also minor in French and plays the violin for the campus orchestra! She is a staff reporter for the MN Daily's newsroom team.

Avery Vrieze is a Campus Activities Reporter for the Minnesota Daily. Avery is a first-year student at the University of Minnesota and is majoring in journalism. She has been involved in journalism since high school and is proud to be a part of the MNDaily newsroom. Outside of school and work, Avery enjoys reading, listening to music, hiking, and being with friends.
Bel is proudly a super senior (and blames COVID-19) wrapping up her degree in journalism with a focus in magazine writing and the arts, though in her studies she has also dabbled in digital art and printmaking. She started at the Daily in fall 2021 reporting on arts and entertainment and thoroughly enjoys the role, particularly concert coverage and media criticism. She has previously interned at MinnPost. Outside of the newsroom, Bel is a chronic indie sad girl with a soft spot for sci-fi and all around nerdy content, though she will guiltily admit to also enjoying the occasional period romance.

Caleb Fravel is a second-year journalism student at the University of Minnesota. Before joining the Daily in fall 2023 as a campus admin reporter, he worked as a reporting intern for his local newspaper, the Hudson Star-Observer. When he's not working or doing homework, he can be found playing Ultimate with his friends and staying up to date with the latest technology trends.
Cecilia Heinen is a first-year student studying journalism and global studies. She is an intern on the podcasting desk where she helps with editing, reporting, and formatting.

Ethan Lambert is a journalism major at the University of Minnesota. Ethan has been at the A&E desk at the Daily since the spring of 2023. A live music fanatic, he has been to nearly 200 concerts and counting. In his free time he enjoys reading, making music and cooking.
Faye Webster's alt-country invigorates sold-out crowd at First Avenue
Gabby is going into her fourth year at the University of Minnesota and is majoring in journalism and political science. Gabby started at the Daily as a campus administration staff reporter, where she covered new campus initiatives, student/faculty reaction pieces and Board of Regents, while also dabbling in some investigative stories and more. Her favorite aspect about reporting is the ability to learn about multiple sides of a story. When she is not working on getting stories out, she enjoys exploring new coffee shops, traveling and cooking her favorite foods.

Maddie Robinson is a junior studying journalism, global studies, and technical writing. She joined the Daily last spring as an arts and entertainment reporting intern, switched to being a copy editor, and is excited to be back to reporting on the A&E desk! Maggie Rogers brings singular art pop back to Armory
Maia is a fourth-year student at the University of Minnesota, majoring in journalism and anthropology, and is originally from Austin, MN. She started at the Daily as a campus administration reporter in 2021 and has also interned for the Star Tribune and Castilla-La Mancha Media.
