Spray tanning is the newest phase in application of self-tanning products, although it's predecessors have been around for decades. Essentially, spray tanning utilizes the principles of self-tanning lotions of the past and by simply making the self-tanners thin enough to allow for a spray application. This method provides a perfect, streak free result when applied properly... These solutions include Dihydroxyacetone, or DHA, which works by reacting with the keratin protein in the top, (or dead) layer of your skin. Just like a natural suntan, the results are temporary, this outer layer of skin is continuously "sloughing" off.
