NORTH KINGSTOWN

The North Kingstown Police Department is commanded by the Chief of Police and is currently staffed by 56 sworn personnel and various civilian support staff. Our Operations Division is commanded by a Captain who oversees four squads. Each squad consists of two supervisors - Lieutenant and a Sergeant, and six patrol officers. The patrol officers work one of two 12-hour shifts, starting at 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Two squads are assigned to each shift, providing 24-hour 7 days a week of coverage to the Town of North Kingstown... The North Kingstown Animal Control Division is an arm of the Operations Division assisting patrol officers with all complaints involving domestic and wildlife animals.
