Alice Kniss

God has blessed Alice to be fashioned, equipped, and called to serve in leading the next generation of Christians at Providence as grammar principal. After 15 years of serving as a teacher in the grammar school, Alice moved to administration where she has been honored to continue in the privilege of influencing students as they come to understand Colossians 1:15-17 more fully through a Christ-centered education. Alice and her husband, Gregg, are long-time advocates of classical Christian schooling, and their son and their daughter are Providence graduates. The Kniss family attends Trinity Church.

Alicia Jekel

Alicia is a member of Hope PCA in Bellevue. Her life goals are two-fold: 1) to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever; and 2) to hear "well done, thou good and faithful servant."

Carter Butaud

Carter was a student at Providence since its very beginning in 1997 and was in the third graduating class in 2007. He graduated from the University of Washington in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in computer science and a minor in philosophy. Since then he has worked as a software engineer, first for five years at Amazon and later for five years and counting at Microsoft. Carter is a deacon at Emmanuel Church where he, his wife, Eleya, and their four children are blessed to worship. The two oldest children, Ransom and Sam, attend Providence, following in their father's footsteps as he follows his own father's by serving on the Providence board.

Dave Hatcher

Dave attended Washington State University where he graduated with a BA in Business Administration. He also has three years post-graduate work at Greyfriars Hall in Moscow, ID, in their pastoral training program. Dave is the Pastor of Trinity Church. Dave and his wife, Kim, have six children; five of whom are Providence graduates.

Erik Day

Erik became involved with Providence in 2002 when, as a college student, he coached the first Boys basketball team. After earning his BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington, he began working at Microsoft where he is a Principal Software Engineering Manager. Erik and his wife Kathy have 4 children, all of whom are enrolled at Providence. They attend Emmanuel Church, where he is an elder. Together, he and Kathy volunteer with Young Life Capernaum and look for ways to serve kids with disabilities. In his spare time, Erik enjoys exercising outdoors and trying to stay in shape for the occasional triathlon. He has always endeavored to balance athletic and academic pursuits, and delights to see Providence students doing the same.

Faith Gibson

Originally from the foothills of California, Faith married Chris, a white sand beach Floridian, and eventually, the Lord led their family to the mountains of Washington. After working in the medical field for many years, Faith unexpectedly became a homeschool mom and has been educating her two children, Noah and Charis. Their family is excited to be a part of Providence! Faith loves spending time with her family, gathering with friends, traveling to new places, reading good books, enjoying delicious food, and engaging in meaningful conversations. She is passionate about both spiritual formation and education, seeking to help cultivate a deeper love for the Lord and a continual love for learning, in both young and old hearts. The Gibson Family are members of Northshore Community Church in Kirkland.

Gabe Poole

Gabe is a practicing CPA based in Seattle, working with medium and large businesses locally and throughout the greater Northwest region. He helps the Board with financial expertise that strengthens the school's ability to think and plan for the future of the Providence community in a practical and thoughtful way. Gabe and his wife, Leslie, have five little ones, with the three oldest (Elias, Hannah and Ashleigh) enrolled at Providence and the two youngest (Audrey and Naomi) anxiously awaiting their turn. The Poole family has been part of the broader school community for many years.

Glen Ness

Glen is a financial advisor with over 24 years of experience. He grew up in Seattle and, with his wife Samantha, has four children who currently attend Providence. Glen and Samantha attend Snohomish Community Church where they are actively involved in ministry. He enjoys running, golf, all things sports, reading (especially Christian biographies), and coaching and helping out with the kids' various sports and activities.

Jonie French

Jonie first visited Providence when her eldest daughter was just 4 years old and left the visit convinced that Providence was a perfect fit for her family. She encourages other parents to consider: "If someone other than you will influence your child for several hours a day, who do you want that to be?" She and her husband, Darrin, have been blessed to be part of the Providence community since 2005. All three of their children completed their grammar and secondary education at Providence. Although a Michigan native, Jonie has lived in the Seattle area for more than 40 years, and loves to call the Pacific Northwest home. Her favorite days are spent baking pies, serving her family, getting lost in a good book, and being outspoken about the crowded kindnesses of God in her daily life.

Julia Badillo - CFO

Prior to joining Providence, Julia worked in corporate finance at Nordstrom and Cisco Systems for over a decade. Most recently, Julia has been a dedicated stay-at-home mom to her four children. Julia and her husband, Larry, have their three eldest children in the grammar school at Providence. Julia enjoys spending time with her family, watching the kids' soccer games, and hosting friends in their home. The Badillo family are members of Trinity Church.

Kim Knudsen

Kim grew up in northern Idaho, attending a classical Christian school, and as a result, she is a strong advocate and supporter of this kind of education. Their family is so thankful for the Providence experience and community. Kim has enjoyed working with young and older children both in and out of the classroom, working specifically with Young Life and Campus Crusade for Christ. Kim enjoys camping/backpacking, gardening, reading, songwriting, coaching swimming and other sports, cooking, and hospitality. She also enjoys participating in running and swimming racing, taking in theater and symphony performances, and meeting friends over coffee. Kim believes that every student is important and has unique gifts given by the Lord. She delights in helping students to realize their potential and hopes to inspire them towards both the pursuit of their loves and towards faithfulness to their Lord. Kim, and her husband, Jeremy, have four children who attend Providence. The Knudsen family attends Snohomish Community Church.

Kyla Hatcher

Kyla grew up in Nacogdoches, TX on a chicken farm with 9 siblings, and she attended an ACCS school from which she graduated in 2016. She then went to New Saint Andrews College where she taught Latin part-time and coached middle school and high school girls' volleyball. Kyla married her husband, Russell (a Providence alum), and while she misses her family, she is thankful to have swapped the humidity of East Texas for the gray and the mountains of the Northwest. Her lifelong goals include learning to read the Bible in Hebrew, developing secondary curricula for Classical Christian Economics and Government classes, and learning the electric guitar. Her heroes include John Steinbeck and Thomas Sowell, and when she is not reading those two, she enjoys beating her husband at cards and listening to Chicago.

Alicia has taught every level of Latin from 3 rd grade to 10 th grade as well as a few different English classes during her time at Providence. After first serving as a room mom in 3rd and 4th grades, Alicia initially joined the staff as a kindergarten aide and then taught 6 th grade at Providence for seven years before teaching secondary students.

Laura Brokaw

Laura became involved with Providence Community back in 2007 when her son attended kindergarten. She started working as the school librarian in 2017 and began teaching a Logic class 2019. Laura and her husband, David, have 3 children who all graduated from Providence. They attend Bear Creek Community Church in Woodinville. David is an Elder and Laura is a deaconess, and they have helped run the adult choir at church for the past several years. In her spare time, Laura enjoys reading, geocaching, and hiking. Laura is thrilled to be working at Providence and have the opportunity share her love of good books and logical thinking with Providence students.
