When Andrew is not working with clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and attending music concerts and festivals.

Andy Reed

Job Titles:
  • Associate
  • Associate AIA Corporate
When you think about architecture, people tend to envision a beautiful building in its final form. What people do not commonly think about are the many construction, aesthetic, and functional details that make a structure possible. Andy Reed is the person that dives into the details (data, measurements, specifications, etc.). He meticulously combs through construction documents, assesses buildings on-site visits, and verifies specifications to ensure that buildings are constructible, and his clients receive their vision. When Andy first started on the production side, it was uncharted waters for him, but today he is a veteran Production Executive thriving from the challenges and unique situations he faces on new buildings and in existing buildings. Andy has 20 years of experience and is an Associate and Production Executive at PRA. He is unique to the firm as he oversees the production of projects across all studios. His responsibilities include working with Partners on staffing and project related tasks, document redlines to maintain quality control of the drawings, writing specifications, construction administration, client coordination, site visits, and producing construction documents. He describes working with clients as a big family. He understands that designing and constructing a building is large responsibility and undertaking, and throughout the process, he comes to personally know who his clients are as they collaborate, overcome challenges, and create a vision together. One word to describe Andy is a mentor. He has a long history of mentorship from teaching lower grades in high school drafting to working as an assistant varsity baseball coach for seven years. He has always had a passion for helping those grow into their craft, and that is no different at PRA. Andy makes it his mission every day to be a leader and help younger staff learn new skills, abilities, and ideas through facilitating and organizing multiple learning opportunities and training workshops. He finds it inspiring and rewarding to witness them grow into their careers and become accomplished professionals.

Brian N. Scheibel

Job Titles:
  • Associate
Brian dabbled in architecture before he truly knew what it entailed. Growing up with a father who was a contractor, he was always fascinated by the mechanics and creativity of how things went together. He was encouraged to pursue architecture and began working for a firm during college summers. He joined PRA in 2000 and is now a Senior Project Architect and Associate. His duties entail "doing a little bit of everything" including writing specifications, client coordination, site visits, and construction administration. He gets inspired in the early stages of the project process when the entire project team collaborates from engineers to clients. He enjoys bouncing ideas off others to decipher the vision of his clients and put realistic concepts to thoughts. After brainstorming, he enjoys working out all the little details that make a building functional. Brian finds it rewarding when he can capture a client's vision and help them understand the process of making it a reality. One of his principles is that he wants to help people learn and will help anyone that comes to him, whether it is a co-worker or client.

Whether it is a House, Apartment, Hotel, or Senior Living Facility these are all places people live. In most cases a place to call home. Jeff is the guardian of all things technological at PRA. He holds the sole responsibility of maintaining PRA's databases, networks, server infrastructure, and network security. Some may call him the Director of Information Technology, but internally he is known as the firm's unsung hero. Jeff didn't always envision a career in the technology industry. John Holz

Job Titles:
  • Partner
Architecture was always a path John followed, even unknowingly at times. At six years old, he sold 100 illustrations of farms, buildings, and airports to his grandfather for $1. As he grew up, he played with his older sister selling floor plans as an architect and real estate duo. His experiences ultimately led him to pursue a degree in architecture, where he was determined to become a designer. Today, John has amassed over three decades of diverse experiences working across the US. After five exciting years designing sports architecture in Kansas City, John started at PRA's Milwaukee Office in 2001 working in the Civic and Religious Studios. He is now the Partner in Charge of PRA's Sarasota Office. His responsibilities encompass business development, designing, project and team oversight, and assuring PRA has sustained growth. John understands that future success is a team effort, so he focuses on creating a dynamic environment and offering opportunities that encourage personal and professional growth in his team members, so they are prepared to continue making PRA an industry leader. John's approach to design starts with cultivating a strong relationship with the client. He enjoys making that first correct impression that convinces them to believe in PRA as the right architect for their vision. The client's trust in his team's abilities motivates him throughout the project process. John looks at a project from the inside out, starting with the clients to discover and harness their core principles and where they want to go within the design. By doing this, the design successfully captures the essence and vision of the client as it becomes an extension of who they are. John feels rewarded, at the end of the process, when they turn to him and say, "I am really glad we did this together, and we sincerely value our relationship with PRA." He believes that a project is only a success when the client is happy and helps attain further success. Whether John is in Florida or Wisconsin, you can always find him on the coastline. At every opportunity he travels back to his roots in Milwaukee and Door County, Wisconsin to develop his home away from home. He hopes that one day to have the perfect balance of Wisconsin craft beer and cheese curds with Florida beaches and sun. John can also be found as an active member among his many professional and charitable organizations including the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance, Knights of Columbus, and the Players Centre for Performing Arts Advisory Council and as Co-Chair of their Capital Campaign.

Keith Biskobing

Job Titles:
  • Associate

Kevin Broich

Job Titles:
  • Partner
As once avid reader of the Better Homes and Gardens magazine, Kevin would search through each issue for interesting floor plans of houses and subconsciously analyze the math and art behind each one. This was his first exposure to architecture. Now with over 30 years of experience, PRA is lucky to have Kevin Broich as Lead of the Healthcare Studio. Kevin has worked at multiple firms crafting his skills, but today you can find him utilizing the skills and experience he has attained to bring forth a new era of healthcare facilities as one of PRA's Partners. Kevin views architecture not only as a career but also an opportunity to create or change a client's environment for the better. It is a way for him to think of creative and innovative solutions to problems previously thought unsolvable. As a Partner in Charge of the Healthcare Studio, he holds the responsibility of leading the team through the various stages of the project process, from initial discovery to post-occupancy evaluation. He values the opportunity to discover the goals of his clients and enjoys the challenge of putting together the puzzle pieces to form a larger picture of their vision. When the project is complete, he follows up with his clients to help them get accustomed to their new surroundings and explain the unique functional aspects of the design they may not know exists. What Kevin appreciates about visiting his completed projects is the opportunity to obtain feedback from those who interact with the spaces daily. He strives for continuous improvement and utilizes unexpected obstacles, so he and his team can learn and grow. Building strong and lasting relationships with clients is something that Kevin values the most. Every time he meets with new or past clients, he always has one goal in mind: "to become their trusted advisor." He doesn't just focus on the professional relationship but attempts to connect with clients on a personal level by learning about their lives, interests, and family. He will even share one of his homemade beers with his clients in celebration of a new friendship.

She feels it is a great fit for her to not only get involved in her community but also to help people who are less fortunate. Mark Herr

Job Titles:
  • Consulting Principal
In 1993, Mark was seeking new opportunities to grow, so when Jim Plunkett asked him to form a new studio within PRA he didn't hesitate. Mark remained at PRA for over 27 years because there was always an opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects or help advance the firm in the industry. He also developed great relationships with his clients and enjoyed being a mentor to them throughout the project process. He is proud of his ability to guide clients through a project, so they are better prepared for their next one. After 44 years of experience, Mark is ready to put down his drafting tools, but before settling into retirement, he has decided to stay on as a consulting principal. He currently advises partners on unique projects and continues to meet with clients to help them capture their vision. Over the years, he has worked in various studios but primarily focuses on Religious, Corporate and Civic projects. He appreciated that on every project he had the opportunity to work with a variety of people. The end of projects warmed his heart the most. To see a vision become reality and to witness the happiness on his clients' faces made every project his favorite. Retiring is bittersweet for Mark because he still loves what he does, but it doesn't slow him down from pursuing other passions in his life. Mark is a member of a multitude of different groups including the Building and Grounds Committee for his church, the Snow Committee for Lapham Peak State Park, and the Lionel Railroad Club of Milwaukee. He enjoys staying active within many groups and views it as a way to give back to his community. Additionally, he is an avid traveler and outdoorsman. Mark has visited 17 national parks with his wife and plans to visit more in his free time.

Marty Choren

Job Titles:
  • Consulting Principal
From a young age, Marty always liked taking things apart and putting them back together, which developed into a career in architecture lasting more than 40 years. He enjoyed the creative side of the industry, but the reason he stayed was for the personal relationships he developed over the years. Marty believes that the people he worked with made a larger impact on him than the buildings themselves. Even though he is currently pursuing other passions in his life, you will still see him in the office offering his knowledge and skills where he is needed. Marty had his hand on a wide array of projects from religious to corporate designs, and he still enjoys the connections made with clients and the long, lasting relationships created by continuously offering innovative solutions. With his newfound free time, Marty is heavily involved with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, where he helps raise money for the cause in a variety of fundraising tactics. In addition, he thoroughly enjoys biking and was the Chair of the Scenic Shore 150 bike ride in 2018.

Mary K. Spriggs

Job Titles:
  • Senior Associate
Mary grew up creating structures out of anything she could get her hands on. At the age of six, she was developing an Italian Villa out of sticks on her front porch one sunny afternoon, when she heard "architect" for the first time. Unsure of what it meant, she thought it was a disgusting word, but after an explanation, her face lit up realizing she found her calling. She found her way to PRA in 1997, where she is now a Senior Project Architect, Associate, and Project Manager in the Healthcare Studio. She is involved in the entire project process from planning and schematic design through construction, but she feels that establishing a long-term relationship with the client is the most gratifying. Mary's goal at the end of every project is for her client to feel heard, get excited about new possibilities, and obtain a vision they couldn't previously imagine. Since joining PRA, Mary quickly developed a passion for healthcare design, especially Newborn Intensive Care Units. She cherishes the opportunity to apply the latest research to create an environment that helps premature or sick newborns live a full and healthy life. Mary's passions don't solely lie in healthcare, but she is a champion philanthropist. She is a member of several running organizations that give back to the community with each stride she takes. Additionally, she spearheads the Mentorship Program at PRA, where she strives to help new employees find solid footing in the professional world.

Michael Bahr

Job Titles:
  • Director of Client Relations, Partner
Michael knew he wanted to be an architect since he was seven years old. Lego's, Lincoln Logs, and a home expansion influenced his interest. When he was 14, he and a friend designed a pivotal project, "The Dungeon of Doom," which was a haunted house they built in the family basement to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. The effort was advertised throughout the community, and it caught the attention of the local fire department, who requested an emergency inspection. They concluded that it was structurally sound and safe, but because of its size and elaborate design Michael should have obtained a construction permit. The department and Michael worked to resolve the issues and allowed the operation to continue throughout Halloween - Michael's first variance! His excitement for helping others through architecture grew into a passion that stayed with him for more than three decades of professional service. Come, gone and back again! From 1999-2014, Michael was a Project Architect and then Project Manager at PRA, designing notable libraries, fire stations, police stations, churches, college spaces, and other developments across Wisconsin. In 2019, he returned in a slightly different role, as the Director of Client Relations, to lead marketing and business development efforts firm-wide and was shortly named an Associate. He is driven by the possibility of what PRA can be, and how that may affect client outcomes. Michael has published on a variety of industry issues, presented at conferences, and is always researching ideas that may help clients. Having a bird's eye view of the industry, he is excited to face the challenge of expanding PRA's services to new clients who are seeking guidance for their facilities. He believes the purpose of architecture is to help people and support operational initiatives, whether that is creating a home, designing innovative educational environments, developing spaces to cultivate company culture and growth, or providing safe spiritual spaces. He is motivated by identifying client's needs and connecting with people to help them achieve their goals. As Director of Client Relations, Michael holds a variety of responsibilities including forming the image and brand of PRA, business development, creating collateral materials for pursuits, developing an online presence, and overseeing the marketing initiatives of every studio. He views marketing as an ever-changing puzzle. Every client and initiative require a different lens to communicate the essence of what PRA does succinctly and effectively. He is inspired by this challenge of developing a different voice, explanation, or graphic that may resonate with each client. Making new connections and exchanging ideas energizes Michael, and he enjoys developing relationships with new clients and fostering relationships with old friends. Michael strives to build strong connections and continuously bring value to everyone he meets. Reach out connect!

Michael Brush

Job Titles:
  • Partner
When Michael was old enough to understand what architecture was, he immediately knew it was his calling. As an inquisitive child, he would ask his parents endless questions about the structures and buildings he saw. He was struck with a moment of realization when his parents explained the concept of architecture to him, and he knew that would be his future career. With now over 35 years in the profession, he has amassed both national and international design experience throughout his career. In 2002, Michael joined PRA because he wanted to apply his skills to help PRA transition into a new design era. Currently, Michael is a Senior Designer and Partner in the Corporate Studio, where his responsibilities vary for each project he takes on. As a Partner in Charge, he is active throughout the entire project from conceptual design to construction, but as a Project Manager, he is responsible for overseeing the architectural process as it shifts between each stage. Out of all the tasks in the process, he most enjoys the opportunity to apply his design sensibilities to create buildings, spaces, and elements both inside and out. Michael is always looking to create the perfect solution for his clients, so he grabs inspiration from multiple sources. From traveling and living abroad, studying great design of all kinds, to just walking down the street, he is constantly observing his surroundings to gather inspiration for his next design. But his main source of inspiration originates from his clients. He is inspired by the opportunity to be their conduit by taking their thoughts, concerns, or problems and transforming them into a physical environment that exceeds their expectations through thoughtful design and innovative solutions. Michael believes that being an architect comes with large responsibilities. Architects have the responsibility to create safe and functioning buildings, but also design projects that will improve the lives of people. The structures Michael creates have a lasting impact in the world, so he takes care to ensure his designs fulfill the dreams of his clients, while also bettering the community the structure resides in.
