Shipshewana On the Road was founded in November of 1992 by Darrell and Julie Lepper when they decided to bring some dealers from the Shipshewana, IN outdoor market to the Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek, MI where they live. The outdoor market has long been a favorite place for people to shop. But due to the drive, the season (May through October) and the fact that it is only open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, many people are unable to attend. And so…November in 1992 started what is today 15 to 20 Shipshewana On the Road shows a year held in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio where the vendors come to your community. In 2012 their son, Greg Fountain, decided to leave the corporate world and join the family business... Looking for something fun to do this weekend? How about a day of shopping for the most unique trinkets and treasures under the sun?
