Special Olympics Oregon is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization incorporated in the state of Oregon to provide sports training and athletic competition for persons with intellectual disabilities. We raise the majority of funds locally through sponsorships, private donations and special events that support our 30 Local Programs across Oregon... As we grow, Special Olympics Oregon is committed to efficiently expanding programs to get closer and closer to serving everyone who qualifies to participate in Special Olympics. Our vision is to help bring all persons with intellectual disabilities into the larger society under conditions whereby they are accepted, respected and given the chance to become useful and productive citizens... Special Olympics Oregon provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children, youth and adults living with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop..
