SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO FIESTA ASSOCIATION

Our 2024 Swallows Day Parade was full of surprises! At the beginning of the parade the rain began to fall and after it was over the sun shined. The last time the parade was rained on was 1994. But this did not deter the mission of the SJC Fiesta Association to be the positive force that kept pushing forward to present a wonderful parade for our wonderful community. Our awesome parade entries also pushed forward to give the soaked crowd a truly entertaining show. Our president Jim Taylor is known for walking out on the street during the parade and interviewing participants. Our parade photographer, Rick Valasek, captured this amazing photo of Jim interviewing a young girl in the rain. Sometimes beauty shines from challenging circumstances. It truly did in this beautiful moment. The Fiesta Association also wants to thank those who came and stayed to support the parade and cheer on us and our talented entries.
