Amanda Hopkins is the Director of Rental Operations at Surfside Realty. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in the Rental Department. She assists in the onboarding process when adding a property onto our vacation rental program. She is an expert in rate projections and comparing properties for recommendations. She may also assist you with the Owner's Portal, property specials, as well as website marketing for the Rental Department. Amanda is a South Carolina Realtor and assists Tyler Servant, COO, in Real Estate sales.
Amanda grew up in the foothills of western North Carolina. She graduated with honors from University of North Carolina in Charlotte with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology. In 2016, she aquired a SC Real Estate License and soon after landed the job at Surfside Realty. Amanda resides in Myrtle Beach with her husband, James and two children. She enjoys taking her children and dogs to the beach and the park.

After a successful legal career, Phil sold his law firm in 2006 and "retired" to Horry County South Carolina's South Strand (Surfside Beach, Garden City, Murrells Inlet) - an area both sides of his family have deep roots in having had family members residing Horry County since President George Washington traveled the area in 1791!
Phil obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina in 1997 practicing law hence almost exclusively in the Real Property arena which eventually led him to obtain his real estate Brokerage license in 2010. Subsequently Phil has focused his extensive background in building and development to helping real estate clients in the South Strand to find or, many times, to build their perfect beach vacation home. He specializes in both purchasing and selling secondary and investment home and condominium properties.
He and wife Erica enjoy a very active beach lifestyle having lived on the ocean in Surfside since 2009 and he looks forward to helping buyers become new neighbors here in the South Strand.
