Unlike many other noble and worthy charities, we have no administrative costs since we are all volunteers in this society. While we appreciate our Food Pantry benefactors and pray for you, it is the General Fund that carries the weight of our mission to help the poor. We have prevented evictions this winter and stopped utilities from being turned off. As you may have heard from the news in Columbus, AEP is planning a 28% energy supply rate hike in June which will affect us all, but will hurt the poorest among us at the very beginning of summer.
