Communities have the power to create a more just and nourishing food system. The Food Trust's approach, centering evidence-based programs, community engagement and policy advocacy, is both trauma-informed and asset-based. As we gather and listen to diverse voices, we know ideas will emerge. Through collaboration, we hope to provide a platform for those doing food-related work to come together to identify goals, needs and assets and to discuss ways that, by working together, we can find sustainable solutions to community health... The Food Trust works with neighborhoods, institutions, retailers, farmers, and policymakers across the country to ensure delicious, nutritious food for all. Backed by three decades of research and evaluation, our holistic community-centered approach to nutrition security weaves together three core programming elements - access, affordability and education - as well as a focus on advocating for public policy solutions.
