Alexander Austing

Alexander Austing, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana, in 2021 and earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Dr. Austing also completed clinical rotations in the treatment of ocular diseases and dry eye management. Specializing in the management and treatment of dry eye, Dr. Austing found that a career in optometry allows him to connect with the community, get to know his patients and have a direct impact in their lives. "The reason I love what I do is that in the span of one day, I am able to connect with and talk to a variety of patients ranging from young to old. The greatest joy in my day is when my patients leave the office seeing and feeling better than when they came in," said Dr. Austing. In his free time away from the office, Dr. Austing likes to spend time outdoors and especially enjoys hunting and fishing.

Benjamin Stout

Dr. Stout grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Luther College in 1995. He completed his Doctorate and earned a Bachelor of Science of Visual Science from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1999. Dr. Stout's professional interests at Savage Eye Clinic include specialty prescription contact lenses and the diagnosis, treatment and management of ocular diseases.

Courtney Duberry

Courtney Duberry, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University in 2020, and completed her residency at the VA Medical Center of St. Louis, Missouri, in 2021 where she specialized in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, and low vision optometry. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, where she was also a captain of the women's basketball team. Dr. Duberry decided to become an optometrist after shadowing her local eye doctor. She saw that the career offered a variety of cases each day, the ability to connect with patients, and provided a feeling of satisfaction from helping others. She loves seeing the moments of clarity and excitement when a patient realizes they have the potential to improve their vision. She also values the connections she makes with her patients while educating them about their eye health. When Dr. Duberry is not in the office treating patients, she and her husband enjoy finding new restaurants to try, going to the movies, and taking care of their two German shepherds, Dexter and Knightly.

Dr. Stephanie Norberg

Dr. Stephanie Norberg joined Eagan & Savage Eye Clinics in 2019. Dr, Norberg grew up in Burnsville, MN and she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Dakota in 2013. While on break from UND, Dr. Norberg interned here at Eagan Eye Clinic. She went on to Oregon to complete her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2018. After optometry school, Dr. Norberg completed a one-year residency program ant the Minneapolis VA Medical Center specializing in Primary Care, Brain Injury and Low Vision Rehabilitation. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to the lake, biking and traveling.

Jeffrey P. Sanderson

Photo of Jeffrey P. Sanderson, M.D.After finishing his Medical Doctorate, Dr. Sanderson completed a comprehensive medical and surgical internship at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. He received his formal residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota, and sub-specialized in cataract and corneal surgery and disease management at the prestigious Pepose Vision Institute in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Sanderson has had extensive training on all of the newest intraocular lenses used to both treat vision loss from cataracts and restore functional reading vision without the need for glasses. He offers a full repertoire of corneal and lens-based surgical solutions for vision correction including the latest in personalized wavefront guided laser treatment. Through his comprehensive practice, Dr. Sanderson provides comprehensive Ophthalmology care for patients with glaucoma, diabetes, lid disorders, dry eyes, and a variety of ocular diseases. Dr. Sanderson strives to offer his patients the most technologically advanced treatment for ocular disease and surgical management. He has been involved in FDA clinical trials in Ophthalmology and has performed research in the areas of glaucoma, cataract surgery, LASIK, and diseases of the eye. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Sanderson has also been published in medical journals and has presented at national meetings.

Kelsey Moore

Kelsey Moore, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry, with academic and clinical honors, in 2017 from the College of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University, and she earned her Bachelor of Science in Vision Science from Iowa State University. While in optometry school, Dr. Moore took on many leadership roles, including Student Government President of the College of Optometry and President of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. She also received the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) Award of Excellence and was a member of the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Moore is actively involved in the American Optometric Association, the Minnesota Optometric Association, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association. In practice since 2017, Dr. Moore says her interest in optometry began as a 5-year-old when she put glasses on for the first time and saw the world in an entirely different way. Throughout her training, she especially enjoyed working with children of all ages, and she developed a special interest in children's vision development. Dr. Moore particularly likes getting to know her patients and helping them improve their daily lives by improving the quality of their vision. In her free time away from the office, Dr. Moore loves traveling, being outdoors, discovering new restaurants, volunteering in her community and being involved with the Special Olympics Opening Eyes Program.

Maggie Asman

Maggie Asman, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry in 2019 from the New England College of Optometry and earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa. Dr. Asman completed her residency at the Greenville VA Outpatient Clinic in Greenville, South Carolina, where she specialized in low vision rehabilitation, specialty contact lens fitting, and the treatment of ocular diseases. In her free time away from the office, Dr. Asman enjoys traveling and spending time at the lake with her family, friends, and dog.

Rodney A. Melgard

Photo of Rodney A. Melgard, O.D.Dr. Melgard received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in Los Angeles, CA. Clinic rotations included primary care, pediatric, contact lenses, low vision and geriatric care. Clinic services were located at the Optometric Center of Los Angeles, Indian Health Services, Long Beach Naval Shipyard, Las Vegas Rehabilitation Services, March Airforce Base and East L.A. School Screenings. Prior to Optometry School, Dr. Melgard earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from St. Cloud State University. Upon graduation from Southern California, Dr. Melgard started his first private practice in the fall of 1980 in Buffalo. "It has been wonderful to experience growth and changes in the office to our current location. Dr. Melgard has been involved in Buffalo and Wright County soccer for many years. He also provides vision care to non-English speaking patients without access to health care and is a member of Buffalo Rotary Club since 1981. Dr. Melgard enjoys snow skiing with his grown daughters Ana and Ali in Park City, Utah and water skiing at his home on Lake Pulaski.

Warren J. Stoltman

Warren J. Stoltman, O.D.Dr. Stoltman grew up in Brainerd, MN. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and then his Doctorate of Optometry from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. While at Ohio State he was president of Beta Sigma Kappa, an optometric honor society, and earned the William Feinbloom Low Vision Award for his class. Dr. Stoltman is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Minnesota Optometric Association. "I love being an optometrist. During my day I can help a 6 month old see their parents clearly for the first time, discuss diabetic concerns with a patient's eye, help a teenager with their first prescription for contact lenses or help a patient understand how cataract surgery can improve their vision while reducing their need for wearing glasses. No day is ever the same. Helping people with their visual and ocular health needs has been a very rewarding profession."
