Bret R. Givens

Bret R. Givens, PMP has more than 30 years of experience in software engineering for aeronautical weapon systems. Mr. Givens has a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Engineering from Wright State University and his Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute. He served as the secretary of the Research, Development and Engineering (RDE) Forum for the Simulation Interoperability Workshop for five years, led the Dayton Area HLA User's Group and served as the chair of the Dayton IEEE Computer Society for seven years. Mr. Givens recently established a community-based organization called the Dayton Ohio Drone User's Group whose purpose is to promote the use of civilian drone technology for the benefit of humanity.

Dr. Tom Hughes

Dr. Tom Hughes has a Ph.D. in Cognitive Systems Engineering, M.S. Experimental Psychology, and B.S. Industrial and System Engineering. Through his 31 year career, Dr. Hughes has worked to develop, refine provide instruction on methods to better understand and support the role of operators in highly complex socio-technical systems. As Technical Manager of an Unmanned Systems Group Dr. Hughes has worked in support of the Air Force Research Lab leading a team of 20+ human systems scientists, software developers, and operational subject matter experts conducting a broad range of research and development programs focused on developing advanced concepts for UAV ground control systems.
