After a three years apprenticeship at the Welsh School of Musical Instruments Making and Repair, Aleth Michel obtained a diploma with a High Merit, and with words of encouragement from the violin makers Charles Beare, Etienne Vatelot and Wilfred Saunders, the violinists Jacques Dejean, Yfrah Neaman, Menahem Breuer and Galina Solodchin, she decided to take the risk to become self-employed in June 1986 so she could spend more time making new instruments...
