The Academy of Decision, Information, and Operations Sciences In 1971, a group of members from various professional organizations formed Alpha Iota Delta, an international honor society in decision, information and operations sciences. The purposes of the honor society are threefold: to confer distinction to students in the decision sciences and information systems... Alpha Iota Delta expanded its activities by adding certification programs in Decision Sciences, Information Sciences and Operations Sciences. These certification programs support the professional development of academicians and professionals during their career by documenting and validating life-long learning activities.
