AREA 54

Area 54, NE Ohio General Service, is one of 93 General Service Conference delegate areas in the United States and Canada. In 1957, Area 54 was carved out of the northern Ohio delegate area established in 1951 as the result of action taken at the 1950 International AA Convention in Cleveland Ohio. Area 54 prepares and sends a delegate to the annual General Service Conference as a voting representative of the A.A. groups within Area 54's boundaries... The Area 54 committee consists of six Area officers, DCM's from the 62 geographically defined districts and the Spanish speaking "floating" district, and ten Area standing committees chairs. The Area 54 committee is responsible for the health of the conference structure within Area 54 and thus for growth and harmony in the A.A. fellowship.
