ARTIS ANIMA - Key Persons

Alan Chan received his BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2005. Trained in traditional painting techniques, Chan learned the "Alla Prima" (impressionistic) style of painting from the Academy of Art University, a technique that emphasizes working with wet-on-wet techniques and finishing the painting in only a few sittings. His love of the Old Master techniques led to independent research and experimentation, learning impasto and glazing techniques. Chan's greatest artistic inspiration is Rembrandt. Alan's website
