Avalon Center is a regional nonprofit organization that has achieved dual accreditation for domestic violence and sexual assault. Avalon Center envisions an aware community that works together to promote healthy relationships and to end domestic and sexual violence... Today, Avalon provides emergency shelter, transitional housing and support services for approximately 1500 individuals each year. In 2022, the Board of Directors adopted a new strategic plan to guide our work over the next 5 years. Read the plan here... Avalon Center works to end domestic and sexual violence by breaking the cycle of abuse through prevention, education, shelter and support services in the greater Williamsburg and Middle Peninsula communities.
