Christina studied chemistry at the Goethe-University Frankfurt with a focus on chemical biology. During her master, she
Mohit obtained his Master's in Biotechnology and worked as a Junior Research Fellow at ICGEB, New Delhi. He moved to WΓΌrzburg to pursue his doctorate in Prof. Hermann Schindelin's lab where he worked on the structural and biochemical characterization of the ubiquitin activating enzyme. After a brief postdoc in WΓΌrbzurg, he has joined the Dikic lab in April 2018 to explore novel mechanisms of ubiquitylation by bacterial effector proteins.

Florian studied chemistry at the Goethe-University Frankfurt. During his bachelor, he focused on analytic and surface chemistry. Through his master, he switched to biochemistry and did a master thesis on Mycobacterium tuberculosis Dodecin. In his PhD, Florian is working on functional studies of large proteins.

Maja studied Life Science at the Leibniz University Hannover with a focus on molecular biology and chemistry of natural products with
a master's thesis from Stanford. In summer 2015, Maja joined the lab as a PhD student.
Manuel studied chemistry at the Goethe University of Frankfurt focused on organic synthesis. In his PhD thesis, Manuel evaluates new strategies for the inhibition of fatty acid synthases.

I completed my bachelor's and master's degrees in pharmacology and biomedical sciences, respectively. I then undertook research focused on unraveling the diverse physiological roles of kisspeptin for my doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat.). In my current position as a postdoctoral researcher in the neurovascular disorders group, I use two-photon microscopy to dissect the long-term interactions and mechanisms underlying the comorbidity between cerebrovascular pathology and Alzheimer's disease.
Nataliya helps us in administration and organization of the group.
For my Bachelors, I studied Biosciences at the Ruprecht- Karls University in Heidelberg. I continued my studies at the University in Heidelberg with a Master course in Molecular Bioscience - Major Neuroscience and completed my Master Thesis "Effects of exogenic stressors on endogenous tau protein phosphorylation in hiPSC derived neurons" at the BioMedX innovation center. To complete my studies, I moved to Frankfurt where I investigate molecular alterations in pericytes in the comorbidity of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and Vascular Cognitive Impairment (VCI). I will use primary culture and co-culture methods to analyze possible changes in the pericytes way of interacting with the amyloid-beta (Aβ) protein and the cells Aβ clearing capacity both in vit ro and in vivo.
