CENTRAL - Key Persons
My job here is to equip the people of this church to do what God has called them to do and help us to live well together into the future that God has called us to. In June 2008 we were called to the pastorate here at Central Baptist Church where we have served happily. We love the city, love the people of the church, and love being a part of its history and its future.
I was raised on the north side of Chicago where I lived until I was 18 years old. It was there that I played sports, but also became a great sports fan. I then moved to Atlanta and lived there for about 20 years, where I met my wife and we had 3 of our children. It was there that I pastored my first church. Melissa and I now have 5 children: Isabel, Cade, Isaac, Carson and Austin.
I was lost when I came here to Central. I had strayed away. When Hal, the pastor, helped me out, he got me involved in the church. I enjoyed working with the people and being around the people here. They were very encouraging and supportive to me and they helped me change my life. I have a wife and two children and I like to fish.
I take care of the church, keeping it safe and clean. I've been here more than 30 years
