Christ House opened in December 1985 as the first 24-hour residential medical facility for homeless persons in the United States. Today, Christ House is the largest facility of its kind in Washington, DC. Since our inception, we have had over 10,000 patient admissions... In 2024, Christ House provided health care for 237 patient admissions and 8,877 patient-days of care. The average length of stay was 41 days and 56% of patients had no income at time of admission... Christ House provides comprehensive and compassionate health care to sick, homeless men in the District of Columbia.
