After a short time in Columbus, OH, I am very excited to be welcomed back into the First Christian Church-Katy's family. I am really looking forward to helping grow and expand the LGBTQIA+ ministries at FCC Katy and work closely with the community to help create a safe and open congregation for all. With the inauguration of our TRANSparent closet, our church home is starting to find ways to reach out to parts of God's beloved that have been marginalized and shoved aside by many other congregations. Originally from Michigan, I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance with studies in Organ Performance and Piano. After finding my church home here at FCC Katy, I enrolled in Phillips Theological Seminary to pursue a Master of Divinity degree. I have been fortunate to serve in numerous congregations over the past decade of being a church musician. Outside of church work, I keep a blog called Gay By The Grace of God at gaybythegraceofgod.com where I talk about my life a seminarian and the various things that go on in the church. I have been fortunate to be able to sing with the Houston Bach Society and in my spare time, I like to hang out with my dog, Chloe, study languages, and read as much as I can. Serving in FCC Katy again is an immense blessing and I am looking forward to the journey ahead!
