Kang Do Won Martial Arts Institute began in 1984 and has been at its current location in Wickliffe, Ohio, since 1985, serving adults and kids. Kang Do Won is Korean and, when translated, means "School of Inner Strength." Our educational focus is always on positive personal growth, healthy character development, and behavioral modification, which is ultimately how the true quality and inner strength of all human beings is nurtured... The Kang Do Won Martial Arts Institute was founded by Grand Master Richard J. Lewis in 1984. It has been providing excellence in traditional martial arts instruction and self-defense training to men, women, children, and families at its current location in Wickliffe, Ohio since 1985.
