LAKE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The Lake County Historical Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1938 in Lake County, Ohio. It operates an 8-acre educational Center containing a museum, Pioneer Village, event barn, a pavilion, and grounds. The Center is a repository for Lake County historic records and artifacts, housing exhibition galleries, a research library, community meeting places, and an education facility for youth and adults... Founded in 1938, the mission of the Lake County Historical Society is to preserve, educate and learn about the history of Lake County, Ohio... At Lake County History Center's Pioneer Village (Available April-October), little ones become pioneers in early the 1800's. They will go to school, do chores, meet a pioneer friend and roll a beeswax candle to take home.
