Phil is excited about his career decision to join the family business with Lifelong Financial Solutions.
Born and raised in San Diego, California, Phil studied at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo before embarking on a wonderful journey of Professional Baseball that eventually brought him to Kansas in 2005. That is where he met, fell in love and married his wife, Amanda, and together they are raising their beautiful daughter in Overland Park.
Phil earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management in 2009. After working for various companies, his skills and his passion to help others led him to a career path that his father had chosen so many years ago.
He is committed to providing sound financial strategies for his clients, assisting them in leaving a multi-generational legacy of security and wealth preservation.
Phil enjoys hunting, fishing and golf and invests in the lives of young people, providing private baseball lessons in his community.
With more than 40 years experience in the financial industry, Philip Thompson still makes a living doing exactly what he wants to do.
"I don't have a job, I have family," Phil said. "I don't do what I do for the money. When a child who isn't related to you calls you 'Uncle Phil' you realize the people you work for aren't just clients, they're family."
Phil studied at the United States International University before an injury left him paralyzed from the waist down for 12 months. This experience inspired him to join the insurance industry so that he could help people face the unexpected financial challenges that can happen in life.
