Leslie Engineering provides Civil and Structural engineering and consulting services to architects, developers, contractors, municipalities, and building owners in the Yakima Valley and throughout the Northwest. Matt Leslie and Daniel Sumerfield, owners of Leslie Engineering, both grew up in the Yakima Valley and graduated from Davis High School. After earning his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from WSU and working for a local structural consulting firm for several years, Matt decided to start his own structural consulting company, and founded Leslie Engineering in September of 2009. Daniel took a more circuitous route back home to Yakima. After graduating from Gonzaga University and earning a Master's degree from UC Davis in California, Daniel spent several years at structural consulting firms in Northern California and in Portland. Leslie Engineering experienced steady growth from 2009 to 2013, prompting Matt to seek out additional assistance. In 2013, Daniel moved back to Yakima..
