LOUDOUN CAT CARE - Key Persons

Dr. Krista Wiechmann

Dr. Krista Wiechmann is a native northern Virginian and understands the unique pace of life that cat owners face living in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. She grew up in Springfield (and was a "cat owner" almost from birth) before attending the College of William & Mary for undergraduate studies in chemistry and biology. Dr. Wiechmann earned her Doctorate degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg. Dr. Wiechmann has enjoyed serving the Loudoun County community since graduating from veterinary school. Prior to opening Loudoun Cat Care, she worked at a general practice clinic in Sterling where she focused her continuing education on feline medicine. Always a cat lover at heart, Dr. Wiechmann decided to open her own clinic purely devoted to cats. She uses the latest technology and her many skills in serving her clients, both feline and human. At home Dr. Wiechmann lives with her 3 cats, Licorice the tuxedo, and Graham and Toothless, the young ones. It is great fun to watch the three boys romp through the house playing and play fighting. With her husband Joe, she has two children, Christopher, and Jessica. Puzzles and board games are family fun time, while novels are for her quiet time.
