Mr. Cavallo is a Professional Engineer with over 35 years' experience in forensics, design, construction, project management, and contract administration. His diverse background includes the design of nuclear power plant components, residential and commercial structures and foundations, stormwater management facilities, sanitary sewers, potable water systems, pump stations, and roadways.

Brenda Sellers joined Nelson in 2005 as an Administrative Assistant in the Houston office. She also has 10 years of previous experience supporting professionals at an engineering firm.
Brenda enjoys the collaborative environment that is evident in Nelson team members' shared vision and dedication to quality work. She likes that every day is different and that the variety of work allows her to utilize her many years of experience in Administrative Assistant roles to serve clients and Nelson staff.
Mr. Trask has provided inspection and design services at some of the nation's most iconic bridges, was design project manager for work on North America's tallest building, and was a design manager for one of the largest single design-build contracts for a transportation project in the United States. He currently provides investigative, diagnostic, and rehabilitation design services for attorneys, insurance carriers, contractors, and property owners on a wide range of perils and failures in multiple states.

Ms. Lutz, a Certified Public Accountant, joined Nelson Forensics in 2016 and is instrumental in providing its team with financial oversight and expertise. Her diverse experience includes accounting in both the public and private sector; including professional service firms, software development companies, oil and gas services, and manufacturing entities. Ms. Lutz is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Corey Barker has assisted in the evaluation of residential and commercial structures for damage to their foundations, roofing systems, and exteriors resulting from hail, wind, tree impacts, water intrusion, and more.
Prior to his time at Nelson, he attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering. He was presented the Werner E. Dornberger Academic Excellence Award in 2021 for graduating at the top of the Architectural Engineering class.
In addition to his coursework in Architectural Engineering at the University of Texas, he worked part-time as a structural design engineer, where he reviewed numerous design and fabrication submittals and performed code research for new and existing buildings. He has also worked as a civil engineering intern, where he compiled Engineer's Opinions of Probable Cost reports, conducted multiple feasibility studies for future commercial and multi-family developments, and drafted site plans.

Ms. Thompson is an experienced architect with a background in both design and evaluation of facilities during and post-construction. Her professional experiences include the provision of architectural services from programming to design development, creation of construction documentation, coordination of engineering and specialty design consultants, construction administration, and analysis of construction and design deficiencies in the as-built environment. She has valuable expertise in fenestration detailing, waterproofing and flashing, building codes, accessibility, product selections and specifications, construction documentation, and field testing.
Prior to her work in forensics, Ms. Thompson provided architectural services to commercial, governmental, religious, and institutional clientele. She led design and construction teams in exceeding the needs and expectations of her clients. She has years of experience in coordinating multi-discipline consulting teams including civil and structural engineering; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, and landscaping throughout the design process; and liaising with contractors and building officials during the construction and close-out phases of projects.
Mr. Lasater is a licensed engineer in three (3) states. He is a Registered Roof Consultant, an affiliate member of the Roofing Industry Committee on Weather Issues (RICOWI), a member of the ASTM Committee on Roofing and Waterproofing (ASTM D08), and an associate member of the ASCE/SEI Wind Loads Subcommittee for the 2022 code development cycle for ASCE/SEI 7.
Mr. Lasater has provided expert witness testimony in deposition, arbitration, and trial.

Ms. Adamcik serves as the Marketing Manager at Nelson Forensics. She researches, develops, and implements marketing initiatives to support the company's strategic goals. Emma's background includes media management, brand strategy, content creation, and integrated marketing campaigns. Emma is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Minor in Anthropology. During her senior year, she was the secretary of the Communication Studies Honor Society, Lamba Pi Eta.

Garrett Simpson is based at the Nelson Discovery Lab, providing assistance to professionals in the field as well as conducting laboratory testing on roof membrane samples.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of North Texas.
His past experience includes site inspections in a municipal civil engineering environment. He enjoys the team environment and the collaborative culture of Nelson.
