ORLANDO GYMNASTICS - Key Persons

Anthony Colon

Anthony was born in Jersey City, NJ where he spent most of his childhood. At 10 years old his family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. While in school Anthony played football. He also was training for boxing and MMA fighting. Shortly after graduating high school his family moved to Florida where he got his first coaching job. Anthony comes to us with 5 years of previous team coaching experience. He was the head Xcel coach at his previous gym. While there he coached many state and regional qualifiers. Anthony's favorite event to coach is bars, which use to be his least favorite. Because it was his favorite he worked hard to understand how to teach bars skills. Now that he has learned more about bars it quickly became his favorite. He loves to see his gymnasts happiness when they learn new skills. For Anthony it isn't just about learning gymnastics skills though, he also enjoys when his athletes learn new life lessons, like over coming fears and how to adapt to tough situations. Anthony looks forward to bringing his coaching expertise to Orlando Gymnastics to help all of our athletes become better gymnasts. In his free time he likes to spend time with his family and pets. He also enjoys working out and researching new skills and drills to become a better coach.
